Since eBay requires you to respond to his emails can you merely write "thank you for your most recent communication" or "received" in response? He's enjoying this in some bizarre, perverse way and every time you attempt to reason with him he just gets more and more obscure and twisted in his claims and accusations.

I'm also impressed with the clarity of your explanations and the way you've managed to remain polite in the face of his refusal to be intelligent and his passive-aggressive attitude. He's trying to get to you and he's becoming frustrated that you're not taking the bait.

^T4P. You're probably right & I think I'm going to take your advice and just respond to any further communications with a simply "I have received your email dated xx/xx/xx. I appreciate your continued communication. Best regards, Danielle" I wonder how he'll respond to that?

Ha!! Maybe that will shut him up but I wouldn't hold your breath, lol.

Geeeeeeez! Who in the 21st century writes like that! His emails just get worse and worse.

I know you probably don't want to think about this but just in case if he should neg you. You can also report this buyer to Ebay. Report under the "customs fraud" link. Another seller had a similar situation and Ebay DID remove the negative feedback.

To report click on the "leave feedback" link, then directly underneath it has a link to "report a problem with this transaction", click that and it will bring you directly to a list of things to report. The Custom Fraud link is exactly for the purpose listed...buyer wanted to dodge customs tax.

^Ah ... thank you. Didn't know about that customs fraud thing. I'm wondering if I should file a complaint or not. I only have 12 days, so I guess I better figure it out soon. Best case scenario, I get my item back in perfect condition and just refund him all but S&H and FVF.

My advice is to you is to tell the guy that attempting to dodge VAT in the UK through false customs declarations is a felony on the 'importing end' if the buyer is either directly or indirectly involved.
Hmm ... didn't know that one! I'll have to remember to mention that to him. Who knew that my buyer was a felon??

Ha!! Maybe that will shut him up but I wouldn't hold your breath, lol.

Yeah - definitely not holding my breath. On another note, thanks again for helping me choose the Kooba Rachel for my SIL (that was me in the Kooba forum ). She wore the bag on Thanksgiving and OMG - it is gorgeous. Love yours in the picture as well. Beautiful, beautiful color.

OMG - it seems to me that's he's consulting his theasaurus in an attempt to intimidate you with his "words". He's totally in the wrong - and surely at some point he will see that??

That's terrific, I'm so glad the bag worked out! That was a very generous gift and let me tell you it only works in and gets better with age. She will continue to love it I am sure.

Today's communications ...
It is quite interesting how you bemoan the futility of the back and forth yet continue and propagate it. Ms. Abramson, please be aware that whilst you may have convinced yourself that you're the wronged party, it is I who has paid you money in good faith and I who is hitherto bereft of that money as well as the item I bid on.

Note also that it is incumbent upon you as the seller -not upon me as the buyer- to clarify opaque terms of sale, and I will take no responsibility for meanings inferred or intentions misinterpreted. Having said that, I'm quite aware that misunderstandings such as this do, from time to time, arise. That's quite acceptable. What I take great umbrage at and will not accept, however, is being addressed discourteously and condescendingly. It would have beseemed you, in trying to reach a cordial conclusion to this affair, to have maintained a modicum of civility when corresponding with me.
To that end, please cease communications until the item's return. Thank you.

WTF is that?! :wtf: OMG! :roflmfao: :roflmfao: :roflmfao:

My reply:

It is incumbent upon me as reader of this communique to take umbrage at the imposition it has inflicted on me, which has bereft me of my senses, hitherto maintained by strict adherence to a modicum of civility that beseems a (bag)lady such as myself.

BTW: I canNOT BeeeLieve this crap is still going on!
