This guy is truly unbelievable!!!

I think your letter is incredible but... I think this guy is getting some sick satisfaction of thinking he is messing with you. He continues to try to engage you in discussion and ignores the actual information you have provided him. I would save the letter, wait until his Friday deadline runs out and see what else he comes up with. With someone who has an ego this big he is not going to back down and accept defeat. The only way he is going to go away IMHO is for you to completely ignore him.

But if he sends more emails please post them here. My "word a day" tp has run out and at the behest of my offspring I would like to acquire supplemental vernacular postulings when I recuse myself from an onerous and laborious day of contemplating my umbrage.

Trying to stop my boredom at work and I just read all 24 pages of this...This guy is a loony! I cannot believe his accusations. I say send the letter to him. I hope he stops contacting you and just moves on.

Here is an example:

"In this example, express is an adjective and not a verb. Hearing it as a verb, the ear wants to modify the word to expressed, with a sense: the consent that has been expressed by someone or something. But this is not the correct use of the word in your example. Express written consent means: the consent that has been directly, firmly and explicitly stated. Another example: "He disobeyed my express orders." "

HTH!

Interesting  thanks

:roflmfao: Will definitely post if he sends anything else. I wouldn't want your offspring to suffer from lack of vernacular!!

Well, the letter is safely filed in my 'draft' email folder to be (possibly) sent another day. Much as I really, really, really want to address his ridiculous accusations, I am going to just completely ignore him. There really isn't any point in humoring him any longer.

I *did* file the complaint with HM Customs & Revenue though, and they did say that they'll have a VAT investigator visit him. I'm guessing I might get an email from him if that happens!!

Now there ya go... do what you can to keep him distracted and busy w/ other things! GOOD PLAN!
I for one shall be interested to see as his anger rises, does his vocabulary wane... wondering if deep down, he knows how to set off the F-bomb...:wtf:

Excellent letter! A couple of comments from a Brit - leave out the bit about your company: gives him more personal info about you and potential ammunition for the future. Also, does NJ mean New Jersey? I'd put it in full.

His name suggests someone who will not let this lie, so I agree with leaving it until after the deadline he's set before sending this response.

Re the bit-torrent thing, it's also used to download TV programmes and movies, so could be harmless, albeit illegal. He is a naughty boy!

LoL wow he's just too much. Now trying to bully you into giving him money. Did it ever cross his mind that the cost to pay that lawyer for one hour of service is probably the same or more than the money he's trying to get from you? He's full of BS imho.

That letter was amazing, truly. This is the second email you've ignored right? If he does it again, I would def send the letter.

As satisfying as it would be to send it, I agree with your DH not to send it. This guy clearly likes to believe he is right and is very righteous about it. The letter will only inflame that self righteousness. It's how he gets his energy. My two absolute worst ebay experiences were when the other party decided to pick up the phone and start haranguing me. One was a very unhinged seller. The other was a guy in the UK who bought Yohji Yamamoto sneaks from me. He was enraged that he had to pay customs. He didn't give a %^@# about time zones and would walk me up in the middle of the night. Thankfully it didn't go on long enough for me to start silencing all my ringers and such. But your guy clearly has problems letting go. You don't want to push him into initiating contact via ways other than the currently occasional (and hilarious) email.

Thanks Expat. I've made the changes you've suggested, but again - the email is just filed away for now, in case it's needed down the road. Thanks for your help!

I totally agree that it would not be worthwhile to pay an attorney, but I assume he's trying to make me believe it would be worth it to him as a "matter of principle". Whatever.

Yup ... second email I'm ignoring. We will see if he continues to pursue this, after being ignored for the second time.

Ack ... you had a UK buyer calling you in the middle of the night? Please tell me it wasn't Imperialion!! If he starts that, my DH will absolutely lose it. We have small children that are not exactly the world's best sleepers, and if they get woken up with this ridiculousness, DH's head will, quite literally, explode.

Here's hoping he sticks to email correspondence. I expect he has to as there would be no electronic thesauras available during a phone call ;)
