Yeah ... I suppose I'm being optimistic in thinking he's given up. He seems like the tenacious type.

Maybe he was holding off because he just couldn't bring himself to believe that I would completely and utterly ignore his 'deadline'. Perhaps he thought it best to give me the weekend to think over the consequences of ignoring him and will come back full force tomorrow. I do so hope to have an email from him tomorrow AM. It's ever so much fun to try and decipher his lunacy before my morning coffee.

Oh and my 'response' is still sitting safe and sound in my draft folder waiting patiently to be updated and sent off to wreak havoc on the 'lion'.

WOW! I just read the entire thread! I loved it. I couldn't stop reading it until I knew what happened.

I never would have refunded that idiot. I don't think I will ever ship overseas again after reading this! You were lucky!

^ I just read the whole thread too and MAN this could be a soap opera all on its own. What is this guy's ISSUE? Or issueS?! My brain is pounding after all of that umbraged verbiage... whatever that means.

Hopefully he hasn't contacted you again! What an unbelievable ordeal.

Hi all ~
Sorry to say, my dear friend has disappeared. I've never been served, so I assume he's dropped his fake lawsuit (to be initiated by his fake lawyer LOL). I actually miss his crazy emails, but I've blocked him from bidding on both my *bay accounts, so alas, I suppose our relationship is kaput. What ever will we do without him?? Thanks again to everyone for their support, help, jokes, etc.!!! You guys are the best!!!!

:tpfrox:

Well I guess it's good that it's over and he's not trying to make you upset or worry you anymore. Maybe he talked with a real lawyer who told him he should have just paid and that was that.

Did you finally sell the datebook? I showed this thread awhile back to my bf (who's British) and he couldn't stop laughing at it. He seemed to really like this buyer, at least thought he was hilarious. Anyway a bit later I showed him a Chanel purse I wanted and he said that brand is crap now. I asked what he meant and he refereed back to your buyer and said people like him buy it. Of course I laughed but then corrected him but I guess it will always remind him of that guy. Oh well.

^See ... now I'm even angrier at that bozo, because its seems there's no chance of your bf buying you a Chanel :p

And yes - I did finally sell the agenda. It took longer and sold for less than it did the first go around, but I suspect a datebook is more in demand when the year is coming to a close (all those super-organized people planning for the new year) then it is in March (when I sold) plus the economy was much better. Ah well ... at least it's out of my life. I was starting to think that thing was cursed by Mr. Fussy Pants.

I recently had an agreement to sell a computer to someone in Detroit face2face. I wasn't going to be there for a business trip for 5 weeks so he knew that upfront.

When I went to MI he never responded to any of my emails. At the end of the week I checked his ebay history and sure enough he bought a case for the computer and had a private sale in Feb that I suspect was the same computer. I actually packed it up and lugged it with me on the last trip and now held off relisting for 6 weeks. I will likely not get anywhere NEAR what I could have gotten in Feb, but I really thought this guy was solid as he had great communication when we were dealing. Getting cash in person for a computer seemed like a better idea than mailing it and taking the chance of a chargeback.

I am sorry you didn't get as much this second time around, but at least you didn't get another deadbeat buyer like last time!

Just read the whole thread from start to finish. Firstly, i just want to say choo_girl123, i am so sorry that you had to go through all that. I have had some bad experiences on eBay but none that came close to that.
Secondly, not all us British speak like that - even the educated ones! LOL!
Thirdly, your email cracked me up!! I really really really wanted you to send it - the tipping off HM Revenue and Customs was my favourite bit! I had such a great mental image!

Really really hope this matter is over but if not PLEASE send the email!!!!
