I have been doing the same with mine. I haven't had mine long enough to experience any issues. I've watched a lot of YouTube videos trying to get a feel for wear and tear. Keeping my fingers crossed because I love this bag! I'm glad you asked the question and hopefully others chime in.I just received my MWT bumbag about a month ago. Hearing about the issues some have had with the bag, I took my chances and purchased it because I predict it will be redesigned and sold for a higher price.I’m wondering for the bumbag owners on here who has had issues and how long did you own the bag when they occurred? Did you baby your bag or not at all?
Unfortunately, I find myself babying my bag in hopes of preventing issues such as not packing it too heavy to not have the bag pull so much at the stress points when being worn. Also, when not in use I make sure it’s not folded at the stress points as well.. I saw that tip on youtube.

Ladies I need some help. I got my pre loved bum bag , everything is perfect but I am concerned about the tag pull thing on the front. The stitching is uneven. It has also separated. (This I knew about before purchasing)

The canvas has a high tendency to crack near the handle. Also, the zipper commonly tears. Those are the 2 main issues.
These were the two issues I noticed from my research and I will watch for them, hoping that LV will make it right if I have an issue. So far, they've come through for me and have been fair.
I’ve had mine since November. I DO NOT baby it. I have a MIF and Samorga yellow liner. I love it. I don’t see any cracks nor do I have issues with the zipper. It still looks new as the day I bought it. It’s by far my favorite bag although I’ve been wearing my Speedy 20 lately.
Glad to hear I’m not the only one wondering as well! I love the bag too. I don’t see many of them where I live so I like that it’s different and I don’t think it will ever go out of style. I love how hands free it is as well and the different ways it can be worn

I’ve only had my bumbag for a month so I haven’t experienced any wear and tear to help with yours, but would you consider having LV replace the tag? That should fix the stitching issue as well?

My understanding is the bag just has to be authentic. They haven't asked me for any receipts for repairs. That said, I wouldn't volunteer that you aren't the original owner.
LV officially had dropped the number from its website. Only way to get now is pre loved.
