Bulgari Serpenti Bag. Is It Worth It?

Was at Haneda airport in Japan and end up picking up these. Wasn't planning of buying anything Bvlgari as I already bought some stuff from LV but at the airport boutique most of their leather items are 30% off with 0 tax due and with the currency exchange it came down to 51% off for me. I checked the Bvlagri website the karung leather cardholder is $600 and with tax around $652. I only paid around $306. The bag is a serpenti forever diamond blast in nappa leather I've seen this one in Chicago boutique last summer for over $3,200 if my memory serves me right but at the airport I paid close to $1,700. The bag top handle can be remove but the chain is non-detachable and has a substantial weight to it. It's a typical Bvlgari comes with mirror and bag raincoat but the only downside in buying a bag from the airport it doesn't come with a storage box. I guess that's the policy but with the unbeatable price I can't say no to it. I'll try my luck if I can get a box from Bvlgari online but I won't keep my hope high on this based from my previous experience.

Thank you! I think the best place to get these bags are from the airport as I also saw a youtuber who purchased a discounted Bvlgari bag from Dubai airport. The only thing is finding someone who travels internationally.
I also did email Bvlgari and asked them for a storage box as the airport boutique didn't have it on hand at the time of my purchased and as expected their customer service suck. I wasn't asking for a limited edition box but a plain generic one yet the email response was a bit snobbish on their side.
I didnt have this issue with Chanel and all I did was provided them a receipt ( I asked them before when one of the box I stored my bag got damaged when I moved to a different state).

I find it funny how the customer service responded with "each creation its allocated its on packaging" then what happened to mine? As it didn't come with it and I bought it on one of their boutique. It's just a box lol I don't think I'll make a fortune out of it.

Sorry to hear about the response. I had a similar experience with The Row and chose to never purchase from them again due to it.

To be honest after hearing the experience of A bottle of Red I was a bit turned off with Bvlgari then add on my personal experience receiving a dented box on 1 of my order and how they won’t replace it and now buying a bag and not providing a storage box because they ran out of it yet they act like there's nothing wrong from their end but mine? The price I paid for the bags are cheaper compared to one in Chicago that's why I jumped on it but say I paid full price I wouldn't go to Bvlgari as I set my eyes to LV especially the Japanese exclusive items. I have few bags now from Bvlgari unless they come up with a nice collab like Casablanca or Mary Kantrantzou I probably not going to bother as I am afraid of their after sales care hahha

Might be worth trying to reach someone directly at a store and explaining the situation. I had a similar issue with a hat that I purchased at Hermes during Christmas time (they no longer had any boxes)

Yea I will do that when I go to the city. It's bit far from me and lately Chicago downtown is not a good place to be with all the crowd disturbances that's been going on.

Just got my first Serpenti bag for Mother’s Day. I’m obsessed with the color and the chain is so luxe.

Not an everyday bag for me but I definitely plan on wearing it for a nice evening out.

Congratulations! It beautiful! I bought the same bag in fuchsia and I love it. Btw, I’ve been wearing mine daily. It doesn’t hold a lot but it’s so lightweight that it’s a pleasure to wear.
