LOL

I that Coach is not "low end." However, I don't agree that we're catty *****es, either. ;)

Wow... what to say to that?

I think we have every right to vent. And I love that we get the support here! But I respect your opinions too!

No one said we think we are better than anyone or any brand. No one said they were "Low end". We just think their quality does not match their recent price hike. And I personally, don't appreciate their policies and how they hide behind them.

In my own "little mind" I remember the reasonable COACH prices that COACH use to have and with my "little mind" I have come to realize that their price hike is unjustified since their cost should have dropped (manufacturing in China) so I feel they are trying to take advantage of their customers. So me and my "little mind" will do as smart as I possibly can which is spend my hard earned money elsewhere, where I think the price matches up to the name and quality such as LV.

I agree with all of you about the price mark up. I started working this job three years ago and I see my female boss wearing all these brand name stuff. When I asked her, she told me she get most of her Coach and Gucci on sale (like at 15% to 30% of retail at the duty free shop, sometimes less because it's from the last season. Well more like they are summer stuff and now is just Autumn.)

I used to shop Coach with my friend (they buy, I pay because I get points for using the credit card) and they never send us any invite when there's a sale (like 15% off week). But than when stop buying, they send me these post cards all the time. Nonsense.

(Please excuse my grammar. I am not good at English writing)

Having been in retail for SEVERAL years as well as catering to exclusive clientelle who expect everything to be perfect I know if a business does not have good customer service their products might as well be garbage! It does not matter if your products are the best in the world, if you or your employees do not offer excellent and exemplary customer service no one is going to buy from your company. With everyone selling similar products, the only way to distinguish yourself and your company is service. I guess Coach got so big they thought they could forget customer service. They need to be shown they are wrong and the only way to do that is not buy from them.
I expect to be treated the same whether I am wearing a fitted suit or dress or a tee shirt and jeans.
So, remember...it's about service. You can buy stuff from anywhere so choose quality and good customer service.

I actually went into Coach and had a wonderful experience today :shame: Usually they're super rude & condescending on the phone (Coach's 1-888 number has HORRENDOUS customer service... they treat you like you're 4 years old and I actually had a lady yell at me once when I was looking for a purse that was sold out).

But anyway my mom bought me one of those huge hamptons hobos and I didn't like the black one so much so I went in for an exchange. They like did everything for me and let me take as long as I wanted to pick between the scribble tote and the white one and even offered to clean the tote if it got dirty for me. The lady I had was just absolutely super sweet. I'm definitely buying from her if I go back to that Coach store :o)

My mother and therefore by association has been shopping at Coach counters in department stores for probably the last ten years.

I have never bought a Coach bag in the retail store, I have purchased items witha credit from a gift I returned.
HOwever my Coach bags, came from Macys. Nordstrom's, Bloomingdales
ALL on Sale!!!

MY school bag is a $400 tote bag that i bought in the outlet
the prices have always been on the steep side but I agree with everyone else the prices are getting even more ridiculous

I have stopped buying coach bags after getting two of them.. I am more interested in getting a Chloe or a balenciaga now... if Coach continues to increase the price of their bags, their reputation must also keep going up

By the way Amanda, maybe you should actually read the quote you have on your posts by Coco Chanel, because I am sure that she would not want to be associated with someone as rude as you.

Just a thought...maybe you too could just agree to disagree?? Where are the mod's. This is getting a little out of hand????
