I wish I had a box bag from the 80's to compare with mine. My chamonix from the 90's feels much thinner and lighter than the box from the 2000's. Interesting. That rough H chamonix is gorgeous.:love:

All Your bags are in fact amazing. I think as they are hand made individually,l they all vary a little though of course various baches may share characteristics. I will post mine which is box calf 90's - very very light. A real joy to use. Btw your comparison photo with different box over the the years was priceless. We should post it in the reference thread.

The pic took a long time to load but now that I have seen it... The lizard buckle makes this bag exceptionally special. Would love to see a close up of the leather though - I didn't think boxcalf Constance is made recently as more often it's swift or tadelakt.

Omg! That is such a gorgeous piece and for me quite a rare sighting..! Never seen lizard skin in a hardware before. Drool worthy. Thanks for posting!

I read in another thread that it might be a new thing that H is starting this year. I was definitely surprised when I was offered this bag, between it being a Constance and in box calf and with the lizard clasp.

Thank you both! I'm very lucky to have a great SA who looks out for me and a DH who tries not to roll his eyes while he's handing over the credit card. :graucho:
