Absolutely lamsis, no H stamps on my 1949 and 1970 Ks locks.Hi there, the 1972 navy blue box Kelly just arrived my place today. So excited. I love it. Don't know how to post the pic here though... I will find a way to post. The condition is pretty good. I love the 28cm size. It is smaller and cuter that I had expected. It's lovely. May I ask u about the lock? The lock has no Hermes stamp or serial no. I read some pages, it said that some age ones's lock doesn't have Hermes stamp in the bottom of the lock. Collector square indeed told me that the gold lock comes with a silver key. But the authentic it, saying that the lock is genuine Hermes stuff, just at that time, the gold lock didn't come with gold keys. I can only trust them...
Is it the same case for your 60s or 70s Kelly bag?

The gold locks came with silver keys.
Here is a photo of the bags.
Collector Square is a very reputable site.Yeah.... That is what the curator said. Before they shipped t to me, they reminded me that the the gold lock with silver keys. They reassure me that it is a genuine Hermes as in the early days. The gold comes with silver keys... I am happy to know that yours are the same. I love the blue box Kelly too... Just love it... A lot.
To be honest, I can't believe it is a 1972 bag, it is in very good conditions. My first Kelly and really love it. Just ordered the Saphir rnovateur, plan to polish it a bit, showing ,y appreciation to it. I name is as my Kelly sister, as it is older than me haha...
Have a good weekend, everyone

I would post in Docride's thread. It looks like finish cracking but impossible to tell for sure. Which year? It's after 1999 so awfully young for a bag to have such dryness. Also, have you had this bag authenticated?Hi may i know is this dryness sign of box leather? Will it crack? Thx ~View attachment 3429875

I have to say, I don't like the cracking in a non-vintage bag (well, in any bag, but my box calf bags from the early 2000s don't show this - see first few posts in this thread. The finish on them is like new. My 1980 bag doesn't even have this. ) . It does look like finish cracks, not leather cracks (which cannot be fixed), but I've never asked H spa to fix something like this. I am not an expert on repair like this, but perhaps someone, especially Doc, can help youIts year 2002. Ya been authenticated. My only concern is the dryness of the box. I worried it will crack after time.
It looks odd to me too, perhaps like it has been painted. Where did you get it authenticated?
Agreed, that could be a coating, and oddly the straps are smooth. Again, unless badly treated, a 2002 box bag should not look like this. If anyone but bababebi authenticated it, I'd have it re-checked for possible non-H treatment and some other visible issues, and press the seller for details.Indeed, an expert told me once that some resellers actually pray paints on bags. And I can't agree with you more that the bag looks odd.
If the bag was retouched, and not by Hermès, then you cannot have it treated by Hermès in future. This isn't ideal for a box calf bag as the ability to restore these bags to a high level is one of their best assets. It also lowers the resale value considerably. That said, it looks sprayed, not retouched, which is frankly worse. Personally I would reconsider. Thanks all for the replied. This H bag is from a reseller. She did tell this bag has been retouched. But the bag looks very dry even after spa and retouch. I worried i cant handle or take care after years.
I think i will reconsider it
