Is box calf leather more expensive than Togo or Fjorde? Anyone know the estimated difference?

Alright, so.. I'm going to exemplify my own ignorance here and ask a question which undoubtedly can probably be answered elsewhere in these fora:

How much would a 30 - 35cm Birkin in black/purple be.. any type of leather, excluding the exotics. Looking for one for my girlfriend.. O_o

30 cm Birkin in togo/clemence/swift/epsom/fjord: 6850 US dollars
35 cm Birkin in these leathers: 7400 USD

Color of leathers doesn't change the price.

Vache liegee and chevre would probably be a few hundred more, not sure about boxcalf.

The price increase took effect on 1 Jan. 35cm Birkins go for around 5100 euros instead of 4800 before. I saw them myself.

Maybe that's cos most stores outside Paris won't get birkins or kellys till 1 Feb? I don't think the price increase can affect some and not others, especially if people are already paying increased prices in Jan.

Don't think so. I think it's just one price increase for the year, and, it IS 2007 now afterall.
