Cowboy Carter is well worth listening.
She mixed genres quite nicely. It is not what I would think as country at all.
It is like retro, catchy and easy listening for sure.

I like only two songs. Bodyguard and Tyrant. I need to go back and listen again to a few more. Sonically the album sounds very nice but for now those two songs really stand out to me.

I was disappointed that the track with Willie Nelson wasn’t actually a song. I really like him and was looking forward to hearing them together.

Jolene is awful, though I respect the effort. The lyrics are cringy. In my mind nothing can top the original.

I’ve been listening all day. The album is incredible—grand, rich, textured. It’s atmospheric. Think what you will about her, but her ability to bend genres is nothing short of amazing. She doesn’t just create albums; she creates universes. And I haven’t even begun to dig into and really appreciate the historical context woven throughout.

It might not be everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s ok! But there’s no denying her artistry.
