iam using budget store aldi restorative face cream for mature skin.... but on my hands.. its fantastic.. keeps the cuticles looking great and leaves no residue or stickiness.. a great find a 2 pound a jar!

I really liked the La Prairie White Caviar Illuminating Hand Cream. It has an SPF 15. It really lightened up a couple of tiny sun spots at the back of my hand. When I ran out of the cream, I phoned in my order and incorrectly ordered the Cellular Hand Cream from Saks. Like the illuminating cream, the cellular hand cream just feels greasy initially but is almost immediately absorbed. I'd like to go back to the Illuminating cream when I finish the cellular cream though.

For blah winter hands, I slather on the pure Shea butter from L'Occitane every night.

I use the moisturizing gloves, they really work but make sure there is gel in them. It's the only thing I've tried that really improved my hands, making them crazy soft. People use Retin A on hands too. If it's working, I have not been able to tell (on hands or face) but science says Retin A works ;p

I am so happy I finally came into this sub forum!

I make my own hand cream. It's super easy to do too. I get to choose what types of oils and what scents to use. Right now I'm using my coconut, sustainable palm, with grape seed body butter with a little plumeria. Yum!

Poth,

Please share your recipe. I have both the coconut oil and sustainable palm shortening. Just need to get the oils, if you can recommend a source. Thanks!
My pleasure! I love spreading the word on natural and bath and body goodies!

My basic recipe is 2 parts oil(hard at room temperature), 1 part liquid oil. So basically 1/2 cup coconut, 1/2 palm, 1/4 cup grape seed, olive etc. You can pretty much substitute for whatever you have. Shea butter is also amazing in this.

Melt them down and combine. You can either let your mixture set or whip it. I prefer to whip the mixture so it's easier for to apply.

Add your desired scent/botanicals/shimmer and you're good!! I slather this on everything. It works wonders to deep condition my hair. Bulk Apothecary and Brambleberry are good for essential oils. Have fun!!
