I also use L'Occitane hand cream in the original scent. I have severe dry skin on my hands during the winter months and this is the only thing that works for me. I have tried using aquaphor, but it doesn't spread very well on skin and leaves a greasy residue, leaving my hands very slippery and slimey. I love this lotion because it's super thick and lasts a really long time.

My favorite one is Avene cold cream hand cream, i have really dry, cracked hands and i also have allergies and eczema, and i wash my hands and lot and honestly, this is such a life saver for me, it really moisturizes and makes my hands so soft! I love it!

For those recommending glysomed, would you say that's good for like super dry and cracked excema skin? I hate what winter does to my hands and I'm tired of using steroids to fix the dryness.

I only have slight eczema on my hands in the winter and eucerin eczema relief body cream has been amazing on my hands this winter!

Given the ingredients, I think even those without eczema would benefit.

Lately I've been applying Lush Ro's Argan Body Conditioner on the backs of my hands at night. It's not a hand cream. It has a scent which I don't care for, but the results are so awesome I can deal with it. The scent will get on your clothes and bedding if you touch them after applying the product. Some people like the scent - read the reviews:

I don't use the product as described on their web site. About a half hour before bedtime (when I know I'm not going to wash my hands anymore that evening), I wet the backs of my hands, then take a teaspoon or two of the product and massage it on the backs of my hands and fingers. The excess on my palms I rub on my elbows and forearms. Then I sit and try not to let the backs of my hands touch anything until they are almost dry. Then I go to bed. In the morning, my hands are incredibly soft! I still use other unscented hand creams during the day to keep my hands moisturized, but the Ro's Argan treatment seems to do a good job of getting my hands to absorb moisture. Over time, the allergic dermatitus goes away too, but I have to keep it up.

I live in a dry climate and wash my hands a lot, so this treatment is really helpful.
