Great bag, guys!
Excuse my ignorance, but other than subtle design cues, what’s the main difference between this bag and the ‘hard’ one? Advantages? Disadvantages?

Hard hat box
Removeble strap
Has wood inside so it's heavy af
Mini size
Expensive

Soft hat box
Versatile strap lengths
Soft version
Good size for essentials for a day out
Cheaper

I can't think of anything else, anyone?

Thank you very much.
How about opening them? The soft one has a zipper and the hard had a ‘lock’, right?
Can the hard one even fit an iPhone 7 Plus? Can the soft one?

Well besides the huge price difference and size. The Boite is actually a tad more practical. The hard petite is very small and does not fit much and with no give because it is hard makes it all the more restrictive. I couldn’t even fit my iPhone xs inside which is definite a hard pass. The Boite is way bigger actually quite bigger than I think it looks in pictures and the softness allows some give. Although I would not over stuff. Both bags are definitely unique in design and beautifully made. It really would depend your use of the bags. For me to pay 5k on a bag that I can only carry my lippy and keys in would be a waste. Hope that helps. Too bad these bags are never in store at the same time to take side by side pictures of.

Supposedly, but differing comments from CS.

I thought it was treated too, but I've seen some pictures of with a patina, some to a darker state. Guessing it might not be?
And does anyone know if the reverse monogram has been announced or is that only rumors? I've been going back and forth in adding this to my collection!

Now that would be stunning if like reverse on Pochette Metis

It has only been a short time and I rotate my bags daily between the lot of them - this bag for me is more of a Friday/weekend bag - meh may use during the week but usually need more room during workdays. But I will say this is not an every day bag as much as I love it. Do I see it loosing its shape - no. Problems with vachetta - no it is already darkened a bit the color of honey (some say water proof but not willing to test that theory). The interior is not a material that will stretch much so as far as loosing shape due to that is unlikely not to mention the canvas - maybe get a tad relaxed. I will also say it depends on how hard you are on your bags? This is definitely not a throw around bag or a work horse as some call them ( I mean none of these bags are throw around bags right). You definitely can warp the zipper by over loading which you can do to any bag really. I really do not see this little gem aging to bad at all and it is a very well made bag. Only con I would have is I miss a top handle as on the PM or Alma BB's I have - not really a con because carrying the bag as a clutch works well due to the shape. So I guess no con at all. I love the vintage look and different style of this bag a lot.

I guess I would say if you are lucky enough to get your hands on one it is worth a look or purchase.
Hi OP.. r u able to share comparison of the alma bb n this bag? And whether the same amount of things fit in these bags? TIA!!
