I just bought this bag and it didn’t come with the lock and key either … but I can’t find the date code … do you have one in yours?

I recently got the Petite Boite Chapeau. I love it. I adore it. However, I can see me not wearing it very often. It's not a very functional bag. However, I do love it. I do think its iconic and classic in its own right as its technically a miniature hat box.
Hi friends, I have finally joined the Boîte Souple club :') With the recent price increases, canvas shortages, and iconic designs being discontinued, I finally added this to my collection! I have always loved this bag when it first released but thought the price was a little steep for monogram canvas. Years later here I am pulling the trigger 
I did buy it preloved because the price was reasonable for me and it was a bag that I wanted and not needed 
However, it does have an imperfection in the front. It looks bad in certain lightings but also invisible from faraway/different angles. I don't think anyone would be really be that close to me to even notice it. Anyways, here it is

Hi, new here!
I just got this bag today too from online in the UK (it's a replacement as 1st one had a very noticeable defect) - never got a lock or key wirh either but as I inspected the zipper, it now no longer has the hole/loop for the lock. I probably wouldn't have ever used it but it's quite disappointing when you compare this to the past models where it had this feature. I wonder why they discontinued it? Still love it though!
Also. The new bags are now microchipped hence why there is no date code anymore.

Zipper: I have not found out a better way that doesn't hurt my finger while taking things in and out(I was not sure whether this size and shape will work for me, I bought coach canteen box to try, and love it too much. In the beginning, Coach canteen box also hurt my finger when taking things in and out, but later I got used to it, and no longer hurt me.) Hopefully, I will get used to the zipper opening.

- Small and super light, fits more than daily essentials
- made in France - makes my heart sing
- Doesn't stick out of the body, love love love
- The strap length is just right for my 5'3/162.5 hight
- The strap with these holes to hang deco items
- The round shape is super cute, with darkened vachetta is a plus

Congrats on your beautiful bag! How are you finding it? Are you enjoying it and getting lots of use out of it. It is such a gorgeous bag but not many people buy it. It is so underrated but I don’t understand why. I reckon it’s a beautiful piece of LV history and the size is perfect and the inside is so luxurious. I have the mini boite chapeau and love it. Am even thinking to get this one as well.Finally joining the club, fresh from the box.

I really like this PM size, fits everything I need, even a small 350ml water bottle. Its featherweight and round shape win my heart
(p.s. Now I dislike my pochette metis reverse, too heavy and square shape
)I think why people don't buy it often is that
1, the price tag is a little heavy for such a small canvas bag with a plain front and back, people may prefer pochette accessories, or add some money for MM size as the capacity is much bigger
2, not everyone likes a round shape
3, non-removable strap, no top handle(seriously wish LV add the top handle like mini one)
I also adore the mini BCS, super cute and stylish. however, I won't get it as my phone won't fit(my bottom line for the bag)
Hello. ordered this online. Should I return and try again? Does the shape look normal? I think it may have been a return bc in the envelope there was a paper that said happy anniversary Lol it’s not my anniversary I’m not super picky just not sure if this is how it is supposed to be thanks for any feedback!
