Nop! I tried it on, took photos, then my husband talked me out of it as I have a few small bags already. He doesn’t know yet that I have my eye on the Mono heart from the Cruise collection, which feels like the BCS’s sister.
The heart bag looks Devine. You should definitely get it and I agree it is like the bcs! If I didn’t have the new wave heart noir bag I would buy it too. It’s adorable. At the moment I’m tossing up between a few crossbody bags.
Mono boite chapeau souple pm
Multi pochette rose Clair (impossible)
Christopher wearable wallet crossbody (from the men’s collection) but looks pretty cute and compact. It’s frustrating to what to treat yourself to a new bag and it not being available.

Yes, so frustrating. I do still love the bcs.. it is adorable and a classic shape imo.

It looks fine to me. Did the person who got it for you purchase it from lv?

It looks like the leather on the buckle has some wear, but nothing major. Your tag looks fine. Check to see if the tag has brown spots from the buckle oxidizing, if it's not new. Mine oxidized in under a year, and I purchased mine from my local lv. You could go in and see if LV will sell a replacement tag, if you want a new one.

Yikes. I don't know why others think it is fine, but it looks a bit off. The lines should be aiming at an angle but it is very straight here. Also, the heat stamp looks fake with the" O" not being rounded and wearing off.

If this is a gift, assuming it is new. In that case, it is not normal for heat stamp to wear off.

it was a gift from a male friend - and I feel as though something is off...like all the details and date code seems to be right but just something faintly feels off

is there an authenticity place you can suggest by any chance?

i dont want to tell him anything...but i am just curious...for my own self:smile:

these parts for some reason seem off to me
is it possible for vuitton to have a little bit of uneven stitching at all???

stitching does not seem to be uniform

Like any other handmade item, LV bags can have imperfections. I wouldn't count uneven stitches as a definite red flag. One of my LV bags

I would just ask your friend. I think most people assume or expect that high-end bags must be perfect in every single way. In reality, unless you're paying for Hermes, expect some bags to have irregularities. I have bags where the stamps are not always perfect, and that's ok for me. I have other bags where the alignment is a few mm off. Doesn't bother me either. Heck, I've even received bags from the warehouse where a stitch is obviously loose/broken. Obviously, I called those in and requested either a replacement or repair. I've seen people buy bags with obvious tarnish on the hardware.

Personally, I don't think it's rude to ask if your bag is real or not, as long as you are respectful with the answer he gives. Just ask where he got it from. Say you really like it and want to know where to go if you want another bag in the future.

no yeah i completely agree - don't tell him yet.

unfortunately, with this product, online authenticators don't suit well for Louis Vuitton. I would go to your nearest LV store and look at the same product. They won't authenticate it for you, but at least you would get a better hands on feel. I do think the interior heat stamp is off though.
