Isn’t that just a visual effect from the canvas above the piping slightly bulging forward and partially obscuring it? As in, the piping is there and even with other piping, just somewhat tucked in below the canvas?
That’s what I would think is going on based on seeing many other bags that give this appearance. Normally this resolves with usage and it would be a missed opportunity to return on that basis.

But if you mean the piping is actually thinner there, or physically uneven, that would be a defect. So which is it?

Hi, so the piping is sewn between 2 pieces of canvas. On the left side of the bag the piping is sewn deep between the 2 pieces. On this particular bag the piping acts as a frame for the round shape so it’s clearly noticeable.

It looks fine to me in these pictures, but your eyes are the only ones that matter.

I will say that executing this shape requires both the canvas and the piping to do some bending. Just make sure you are for sure seeing it right (should go without saying, but there are posters rejecting 100% correctly made bags).

Is it possible these 2 things would be considered defects and I could have them sent out for repair? I’ve never attempted repair on my LV items. The piping is almost completely inside the canvas. I also never would have used the flat pocket for anything and it looks to be stretched out or something caused all that wrinkling.
I also wonder, with this being treated leather would I be able to have all the Vachetta replaced years from now..

It seems fairly clear to me that you don't want this bag, and so just return and move along. There is no defect shown. The scant wrinkles are normal vachetta variation. The piping had to be shaped in order to clear the leather piece applied perpendicular to it, or at least that's my speculation about why it's tucked in at that exact location.

Yeah, I just might send her back. She is the second one I received, first was made in Italy, no piping issues, no pocket issue, but had popped stitches where the leather attaches to the canvas and had paint issues on the strap. Maybe this lovely bag just wasn’t meant to be.

Ugh...I’m so sorry you have these issues with the bag!
Only you can decide if it’s worth keeping. I think at the beginnning of this thread there is a poster who has two wrinkled areas on her back pocket- on page 2 of this thread you can see.
I’m not sure if the piping is an issue, but I hope it works out either way.
I didn’t know you are in the eye of the storm- I feel so bad for you guys:heart: Sending prayers:heart:

Thank you for starting this club and posting your beautiful bag! I just ordered mine and waiting impatiently :) What style name/number strap is this? I'm considering getting it as my main strap. Also, do you prefer it over the original strap? If so, in what way? Sorry for all the questions, this will be my first LV bag so elated and anxious about it. Thanks again!

Well congratulations is in order - this bag is a wonderful choice as a first bag. Unfortunately the strap is not sold separately as I happen to have the bag it belongs to. I was really just playing around with strap options not something I will probably ever use on the bag because of the awkward way it attaches. The strap the bag came with is quite comfortable and a perfect fit. No need to change it.

Finally received my bag today!! It was love at first sight with this bag.
It's a shame my clemence wallet would not fit. Regardless, it is a great bag and love it to bits.

Congratulations! How exciting!!
It looks amazing and it truly is the coolest bag:)
It’s fun to play with the strap lengths too:)
Yes, you will need a smaller wallet or coin purse with this beauty.
