Anyone still a little indecisive or late to the game can still get it directly from Mattel's Barbie Collector site. :smile1:

Did you or anyone else order from here? I am still undecided if I want to spend $100 on this...but I went through the process of ordering it and it actually came out to be $95 and that included tax and shipping. There was some sort of $15 promotional credit that came up....did anyone else notice that?

No, I didn't order from Mattel but I did see the discount at checkout. Cool!

I just don't see the Barbie being only $95 if they only made 700 - 1000 of them. I would think the smaller the production run the higher the cost....and less than 1000 is not many when you are talking a Coach Barbie.

I read around 13,000 were produced on a couple websites. I think maybe Coach had approx. 1,000 or less for sale while Mattel and some other shops have a high unknown amount.

Ordered on Mattel site for the discount. I wonder if I can cancel my coach order :) Otherwise I will have 2. My husband collects toys and thought I should get 2 (he said i need to leave it in the box..boo)

You can keep it as an investment piece. Coach's 1000 sold out in less than 12 hrs. Over 20,000 people "Liked" the Coach Facebook post about it. I'm sure it will only increase in value over time. Barbie is highly collectible.

Well, I know that I won't play with it per se (and I have a little boy who likes Legos right now), but it's definitely coming out of the box and going up on my handbag shelving unit for display.

Mint/NIB be damned. LOL.

Great minds think alike Miss. Shell, thats EXACTLY what I plan on doing too (I know I said I was done with Coach in another thread, but what I meant was AFTER this Barbie purchase!!!)
