I ordered mine and my mom's- they do split shipping (for a small fee). After the discount and the split shipping, I still saved a little bit from ordering on Mattel (and canceling my Coach order).

Looks like Mattel isn't shipping them till August 17th. My email this morning from Coach said August 19th from them.

Looks like there is a limit of 5 dolls per order- I thought I read earlier it was like 10. Maybe Mattel changed it after eBay junk? lol. Oh and Barbie gets a dustbag for her purse too! SO CUTE!!!

I sent a cancel email to Coach and got a reply back to call by phone and gave me the number to call. I got Coach Factory when I called and told her I needed to cancel an order and give her the order number. She said I could not cancel a Factory order and i explained it was a coach.com order and I did not know why I was directed to call the Coach Factory.

She researched a little and told me it looked like the order was already canceled as there was too much backorder for the Coach Barbie doll.

Very strange to me as I have not received any type of cancellation email from them.

You might want to verity that your order was not cancelled.

There's not much of a secondary market for Barbie any more. Mattel flooded the market with re-issues years ago.

If you like it, buy it. But don't buy it thinking it will appreciate. All you have to do is check ebay to see the low, low resale value of Barbie.

My 2 cents. ;)

If you go on the Coach homepage and click on the Barbie picture, it will lead you to another page. On the bottom of that page (below Barbie's picture), it says in red letters that they're all sold out. Earlier today I was redirected back to the homepage when I attempted to click on the "shop now" link. That's what I see, at least.

That I have no idea. If I get her, I'm going to order her through Mattel because she's sold out on Coach's website. It would be kind of neat to have a special marking, but I just care about getting the doll!

I placed my order. I think the doll is really adorable and just have to have it. I really don't know what use I have for a Barbie though. This forum is dangerous! I would never knew about the Barbie if not for the site. Maybe I will have a daughter one day... LOL...

She is SOLD OUT! What the heck! I was going to go in today to order her. If there are psychos out there ordering 15 at a time, with the PCE, I will just be pissed. Items like this should be the ones that COACH bans customers from ordering too many for fear of resale. Now eBay is littered with them, for "Only $189". REdiculous!

Did you check on barbiecollector.com? I know it sold out through Coach directly but I thought they will had some through Mattel....

I haven't, yet, thank you for the idea. I am going to my boutique today to order a few items, and yes its only like a $25 savings with the PCE for this individual item, but I'm going to place a $700+ order, so I wanted to use the PCE on everything. If you look on eBay, NOT A SINGLE "Buy it Now" Coach Barbie is a quantity of 1. They are all quantities of 4, 5, 8, etc. This one just grinds my gears.

I know....that sucks that people bought a bunch just to make a little money! On barbiecollector.com there is an automatic $15 discount....so at least it's a little something! Have fun shopping!!

I want to take mine out of the box but I keep picturing my grandchildren taking it to the Antiques Roadshow and being told it would be worth so much more if it hadn't been taken out of the box!

You can't use PCE on Barbie
