aww! I wish I were that thin. We are the same height!

Thank you, but I'm not thin anymore... I have gained a lot of weight after my second baby was born and I'm just not the same. I recently said that exact same thing and this other lady asked "Oh how old is your baby?" You should have seen her face when I replied "The baby is six!" LOL. I guess I need to stop using that baby excuse!

haha oh stop it :p 98 pounds at 5 feet after a baby is amazing :smile1:

oh goodness lol I won't disclose my weight here, because next to you, I'd have tires for an 18-wheeler sported around my waist! hahaha

Can I share something with you? All my life I was stick thin. 87lbs on my wedding day, 92 after the first baby and now 98 after the second. I waited forever for my body to become a "woman's body" so I never liked my boyish figure growing up. Until I got to college... one my professors was this beautiful full figured woman. She walked around campus like she was a Greek Goddess! Her secret? Sexy thongs! She said knowing that she was wearing something sexy underneath made her feel sassy! It was then I learned that beauty comes in all sizes and shapes, but most of all it's your self confidence that draws people to you. So work it girl whatever your size or shape!

that's such a nice story! Thank you for sharing :smile1: You are so nice

i return all the time. i am a consummate believer in take it home and see how it works in your wardrobe and i also like to model things for my dh and get his opinion. i mainly do this at ross.marshalls.tjmaxx. stores that dont have the nicest dressing rooms and frankly i am reticent to even go into their dresssing rooms.

My mom got a warning letter from QVC that they were going to ban her if she returned anymore. She was shocked and decided to be more careful in her purchases.

I admit I am kind of a return-a-holic too but haven't gotten any warning letters.

I personally have not been banned so I can't from own experience. What I do know is this: Three people I know have been banned. Two were banned from NM for excessive returns (and store CC's account closed). What they were doing was.. purchasing items during SALE EVENTS and working in tandem to buy at the next discount event.

The other is a chronic returner and was banned at Macys, The Limited, and Coach for excess returns. I believe that she has been reinstated to purchase at The Limited now. But she has not been reinstated at Macys or Coach. I know Macys pretty much told her, to never come back again.

I am close friends with a store manager at another high-end dept store. I know they ban people there for a number of other reasons (other than returns). If they suspect fraud... or suspect money laundering, or make claims of items not received (when system shows received) .... if you use the "employee" discount without being an employee.. (or accept any other discount the store normally does not offer) you may be banned.

I just recalled another friend who was banned from VS for doing the following: taking the customer returns that the store discarded (VS discards used items upon return, even if the beauty product was just opened to be sniffed or when an item comes back without tags attached yet clearly it appears brand new and not used). This was an employee though. She wanted to sue them but the employee handbook clearly stated the type of items that were to be discarded and that the employees were not allowed to take them. Fired and banned from shopping there.

That should have been understood and common sense.

I used to work at Barnes and Noble and they had a neat system to discourage people who were buying bargain books and trying to return them for full price for store credit by saying they didnt have the receipt--they marked the book with a black marker across the pages. Stopped a lot of fraudsters. Of course, also tipped off your gift recepients you bought them a cheapo book:)
wow, I buy the bargin books all the time and I Never even thought of this scam...
