I’m still recording expenses and still at just two non-consumables purchased since the start of the year. TBH, it feels good to have stopped shopping. Although I confess, there is an item I’m considering and it’s not cheap.

I’m thinking about a new road bike. Just thinking at this point. I have a road bike I like very much but it is indoors on my trainer. I had to switch my rear gear sprocket when I put it on the trainer to make it compatible so this means that taking it on and off the trainer is not something I would do. In other words, my current setup would mean, bike goes on trainer in the fall, comes off in the spring. Totally do-able. But I like this set up and then I could ride on inclement days. And it would save me having to drag bike and trainer to the shop to have them make it road ready.
Although that’s just a small part of why I’m exploring the idea.

Way to go, HBG! Hope you love your latest acquisition.

It's love!! 4 months and 1 week ago purchased but now I'm moved into it and not leaving it for awhile. Great fuschia lining too.
Sigh, it's to finally feel like I'm fully and truly on ban with nothing in the pipeline....! I'm a honest ban islander now!!!
I'll stick to this for at least 90 days then see...

You're both doing really well, I'm afraid I cracked and bought a bag this week ;)

I bought a preloved speedy in the old epi leather. It's a bag that was on my someday list, if I could find one in really good condition  What do you think might change your mind?!
Lol, that’s the point. I never know! I’m a sucker for a bargain. Plus when I travel overseas I like to shop. We are talking about a trip across the pond in the fall. Nothing definite though. As mentioned in a previous post, I’m more interested in a new bike at the moment.

Oh me too, I'm very susceptible to a bargain, therefore trying hard not to impulse buy things I hadn't previously considered

So....my issue with bags is addiction and hoarding. I am going through another purge right now....as much as I loved some of them, I was feeling overwhelmed by them - so I tried a bunch on and found some just aren't as practical as I had hoped - I have a shoulder issue. So that led to a bunch more that are going to the consignment store or getting donated.....feeling much better about my collection. It is now still large, but not hoarder status, which is nice. I think this will help keep me from buying more bags. I don't feel guilty about this collection anymore, though I wouldn't show it to others who don't care about bags! But I mean, I feel right about the ones I am keeping, and the amount I paid for them, and the amount of use I will get out of them. I wish I hadn't lost so much with overbuying, even if I did manage to sell a bunch of them. Well, the ones I am keeping were all purchased at reduced price or even used, so....I don't know. Whatever, what's done is done!

I am a bit of a hoarder myself. If not for my DH keeping me in check, I could probably be on the TV show by this point in my life. I have a closet full of bags, not all luxury. I have such a hard time parting with them.

Nice to know it's not just me! I have been like this also for perfume, then I sold a bunch of perfumes. I have tried to keep my husband from seeing my bags - I think he has seen that I have a lot, but I think he has no idea how many were tucked away. I feel okay with him seeing the amount that I will have once I donate/consign the rest.

I honestly have the feeling that I just have too many bags and now that I'm so much less obsessed with bags I'm rotating so much less which means that I'm not using my collection very evenly and I start to feel stress when a bag sits untouched for months.... I really hate that. I feel that most bags should get touched at least once every month or two....

I get that feeling too, it's why I prefer to keep my bags to a small number. But I'm definitely a minimalist at heart. I think you should give it a few months and see how you feel then. You may settle into a pattern of rotating your collection and enjoying the variety you have, that makes you feel happy about the number
