I bought my first balmain blazer and it made me look like a football player . Its the tweed version. I wonder if its the fabric made it look like that . And i got the wool version and I would say the padding looks smaller on the wool version.

I love the tweed one, but I know what you mean about the extra padding. I'm actually wearing my black wool one today and got compliments already. I'm wearing a chunky sleeveless turtleneck and it's fine. I probably wouldn't wear anything thick underneath to emphasize or crowd the shoulder/arm area.

They did also come out with viscose version this season, which is also thinner and less rigid than the full wool one.

Does anyone have any experience with Pierre Balmain line? Do their clothes run small to size as well? I don't know if there any difference between these two brands? Very confused!

I ordered a PB jacket before splurging on the Balmain one, as PB is the more affordable (relatively). It also ran one size smaller (like Balmain line) and the sleeves felt longer.

I thought as much thinking the size must run small too! Unfortunately when I went to checkout the one I really want is sold out! Hey guys if you want to secure a proper Balmain wool blazer Net a porter is doing 50% off now and it is such a steal! I was so stoked to see my red one in my size available! Without a doubt purchased it straight away wouldn't want to miss such a great deal!

The red with the gold buttons is really high impact. Can't wait for you to get it. Would love to see mod shotd.

Will definitely take some pics when I get it...only problem I have is that I cannot wear it until six months later as we are in summer this side of the world! Bummer! I think this blazer immediately adds that glamour and chic to the whole outfit whatever you match it up with! I am thinking white skinny jeans with my red Christian louboutin so kate! I am already drooling just by thinking about it lol:p

Hello everyone. I bought a balmain blazer in size 36 as the size 38 felt loose on the shoulders and waist. But after using it I noticed the arms are a bit tight and it’s slighlth restricting my movement. Of course I can only wear very thin tops with it. In your experience does the fabric stretch a bit with use?

My size is FR36 and it does have the problem you described. Tight on shoulder and you can only wear thin piece underneath but it doesn't bother that much as it is very warm and i mainly take it off when I am in the office
