I am definitely obsessed with this Balmain blazer now and want every colour! Slowly building my collection on my god I am so happy this is my favourited colour ever!

This red is amazing!:smile: & the gold buttons are crazy - Congrats on such a fabulous jacket & in such a great color! I got really lucky & found the attached in fuschia / wool @ Saks on sale - I keep hoping it will turn red lol :p but happy to have found such a fun bright color on sale

I just threw a pair of white skinny jeans on and this is what it looks like! I am very petite yet still chose 36 and you can see that padded shoulder is obvious on me. I need to invest a full mirror as my Louboutin shoes cannot be seen

Looks gorgeous on you! I know about the armpits feels very tight. Better buy the size you know you'll wear instead of a smaller size just ends hanging in the closet.

Thanks exactly! The small size won't be able to wear in winter realistically. This fabric is viscose. Wool back is better shaped. Good now I have two styles yeah!

Love all the blazers on everyone. I just pre-ordered the light pink with silver buttons from Neiman's today. ****** had 10% cash back so I'll make a couple hundred back with that. The fabric is Viscose/nylon which I hope is softer and lighter than the wool. I have the black in wool and it is super stiff, and while I love it, it definitely looks a bit boxy on me. I wonder if anyone has ever taken out the shoulder pads on these jackets before. I know it would seem crazy but I think it would still keep it's shape a good bit but loosen the armpit area and make it less linebacker-esq.

It's very beautiful! I think you may be right about the shoulder pads and it would still keep it's shape - but i wouldn't dare doing it - please let me know if you do it

I think the cut of the whole blazer is worth way more than the materials. What’s the point to buy the Balmain and remove the actual design that made the market?? If you have swimmers shoulders then I think I can see where you are coming from.
If the shoulder pads are removed, the whole blazer will collapse because nothing is holding the shape

Unfortunately that is the problem. I have very broad shoulders and I feel like they sit a little high already, and at 5'8" it makes wearing an extremely stiff and structured blazer sometimes come off looking funky. Maybe it's in my head, but I tried going up a size and it looks ridiculous on me, so I have to stick to the 36 and deal with the tightness in the shoulders and arm hole.

I have narrow shoulders and I also feel it’s tight around the arms. But I don’t wear it while I am working, only in meetings or dinners...activities that don’t require me to lift my arms high

Do you mind taking a modeling pic so I can see if it’s really that stiff or just in your head??

Well...I'm 7 months pregnant right now so nothing is fitting the way I want it to anymore. I found old pics of me wearing the navy wool/twill one I have with gold buttons. The wool ones are even tighter than this one. I don't have any pics of me in those though. I only really get pics of myself when my sister is around and snap chatting and taking pictures of everyone.
