Has anyone lost buttons on you blazer? I managed to loose a button when I wore mine the other day, It just fell on the floor when I stood up from my chair :/ The other buttons are also really loose. I bought mine second hand, can I contact Balmain for service or would you just fix it yourself?

i think you can fix it yourself if you know the basis of needle work.....

oh forgot to say it didn't happen to me....i never button the blazer.

i also want to tell the ladies here that i've seen tem on Yoox....multiple sizes available. navy....check them out in the future. it's been sold out already.

I did not button the blazer, it just fell off :( I think I have to tighten the other buttons also. It's a shame since it's a very expensive blazer.

Help!!!!!

I can’t decide if this Balmain blazer looks amazing or terrible... kinda feel like the shoulder pads in it are bigger than all the other pics.

What do you guys think??View attachment 4554864View attachment 4554865View attachment 4554867View attachment 4554864View attachment 4554865View attachment 4554867View attachment 4554868

They're emphasized bc the bottom part of your body is out of balance. Instead of flip flops and ankle skinny pants, try either bootcut or mini flared pants or jeans and heels. Also, do you think you mind need a smaller size?

Thanks for the feedback! I don’t have any flared jeans... will have to try to get some. I’m top heavy anyways, so I’m not sure if this style will work for me. I can’t go smaller because of my chest. This is a 36 anything smaller is too tight.

I’m so torn... it looks so amazing on others but I’m not sure for me. maybe it would be better with skirts or dresses... all the pics I see are skinny jeans and heels. But I feel like that doesn’t look good for me.

It's ok, I think you might do better with a blazer that's slightly less padded in shoulder. Try l'agence kenzie or maybe smythe double breasted. Both make great ones. I also dont think balmain is ideal for inverted triangle shaped bodies without something to balance the bottom half. But try a few outfits before deciding. Love the color on you.

Thanks for the ideas! I’m bummed this has always been a bucket list item... I actually took it to Nieman Marcus today to have it altered.. I know there are mixed feelings about it but I’m having them take down the shoulder pads a little and shorten the shoulder a little closer to my frame.

I will post some pics after to see if it looks better... I ordered some wide leg and flare pants so maybe that will help.

I think it would help if you had NM take out a bit across the back - it seems like it is pulling at the seams in the rear picture. Switch the flip flops for pointy heels and it will look great.

Hi Everyone!

I’m considering adding a Balmain jacket to my closet. Currently I am between a 38/40. For reference, I’m 5’1, 130ish pounds (I’m also losing weight too as I’m doing interment fasting). I’m a bra size 36C and 27/28 in jeans. I have a Zadig and Voltaire jacket that fits slightly big. I own a Chanel jacket 40. I’m scouring the internet and ourseforum and it looks I could pull a 38. So I went to the Balmain Boutique and the SA, even though she’s nice, said I’m a 40 and had me tried only 40. She said “don’t even try to wear a 38 Bc you are a 40”. And when I tried to button it, it barely button but she sort of reprimand me and said these jackets are not made to be button up . She said “look at mine. I can’t even button mine. It’s not made to be button”. So I don’t know which one to order. I’m attaching the blazers I tried on. Could you all please let me know if this sz 40 looks good and I just need to hem the skeeves or does it look bulk and I’m better off ordering the 38 and just taking out a few cm in the seams? Thank you all so much for all your help! ❤️❤️❤️
