When I went to the boutique, the SA said the buttons can be easily swapped for whatever your preference, i.e. gold for silver and vice versa and lion for crest and vice versa. I'm not sure if that applies to outside purchases as well as purcases made in store.

Hi all! Just an update about my blazer sizing dilemma, I went to the Balmain boutique to try on the size 38 and it was massive on me, the SA said that alterations to the shoulders, under the arms and waist were needed. So I ended up keeping my size 36 and had it altered at the boutique instead, they loosened it up by a half inch on each side of the waist and underarms and it fits perfectly now!! Soooo happy!! I really didn't want to give the 36 up given the discounted price I got it on I can button it up now too!! Lol thanks for allege help and suggestions!

Thinking about getting this jacket- are any of the pockets functional? Also, how is the fit across the shoulders- does anybody have problems with the shoulder area bunching up/restricting when they lift their arms?

Ok, not a double breasted blazer - but I just got this no-close, insanity yesterday (I ordered it online on sale). I know its *alot* of look, but I'm a huge fan of iridescent (see ...pretty much all of my other posts) and have been for at least a decade. Any thoughts on how to style this? Going to try my friend's advice to "just rock it!" But I'm fairly certain it is going to work best with light colored tops + jeans.

Lovely jacket! Your friend is right - just rock it - however, keep your top simple (the lace one you have on competes with the jacket) and most importantly, you should go to the tailor and shorten the sleeves (they appear long in one pic) to avoid the sloppy look and give the jacket a more tailored line.

Thank you! My plan is definitely to take it to the tailor. I've been losing weight from kept lately, so I figure I'll take it in once I've leveled out :). Appreciate the feedback on the top vs the jacket. I'd just gotten home from work and grabbed the first light colored thing I saw to try on with the jacket :).

Congrats! It just appeared you need to shorten the sleeves. Otherwise it looked great!
