Just received my first Velo and am loving the size, not nearly as large as I thought. Here's a comparison shot...

I'm a terrible person to ask that, I don't even notice the weight when I'm in the midst of a bag trying frenzy. But size-wise I love the velo. My only thing is that I have to double the strap as I'm not into the cross body aspect. But it doubles very well.Thx for these fabulous pics I was thinking the Velo would be larger too....hmmm, maybe I should try this style...
Just wondering if the ME Velo felt heavy-ish?

More leather on the Velo. Bigger bag equals more weight, so it's not just the HW to take into consideration. Plus I find the bigger the bag the more I load into it. The only bag I've ever found to be too heavy for me was the AW Rocco, those studs...Lol, yes there is so much more to take in when trying on a new bag But I think if you didn't notice, then it probably wasn't significantly heavy. I find the City ME to be slightly heavy (for me & since I have some back issues) and was thinking the Velo would be more so, but I'm probably overthinking it...

Most of my bags are on the larger side. Leather fetishSo true, bigger bag = more junk to lug around

thank you @whateve for the above comparison...am not able to find a club in the colour or price I want to pay so search continues.
Have looked thru the thread but many of the photos no longer open and am looking for a comparison of a classic city and a first for this first time buyer. Have fallen for a first and just would like to see it against a city as I know its smaller.
Hope you all can help
I had no idea you were a mathematician. That's a great way to compare bags!I used to have a couple Firsts (and others not pictured) but I have since sold off most. Here is an old picture of some of them. A black First in the front. A red Town in the second row. Two cities in the third row. A Day in the back. I wish I have better comparison pictures to help you. The First is good for carrying your essentials or if you are one who doesn’t carry much — it will literally fit inside the City. The town is in between the two. Also, at one point, I calculated the cubic inch capacity of them based on their dimensions (I find the cubic inch numbers to be useful when comparing bags across brands). The First = 260 cubic inch. The Town = 380 cubic inch. The City = 775 cubic inch.
Thank you so much...so the city as whateve told me on another thread is larger by a lot but seeing them together makes it so much easier...I used to have a couple Firsts (and others not pictured) but I have since sold off most.
