Great selection of timeless bags! I would like to borrow your list- and add a few inductees: the Givenchy Antigona, YSL Lou Lou, and the Gucci Dionysus. With the exception of the Antigona (proven 10+yrs now), I think the others are all on the way to earning their right into the timeless, classic bags category.

I was very surprised when Chanel discontinued the GST, PST, medallion tote. .... these seemed very classic.... maybe someday they will come back

I still own and love my GST, but I don’t reach for her anymore. I swear the GST has done irreparable damages to my shoulder. Whew, the weight of that bag with only a few slgs feel like a full work out.

I thought the Gucci Soho Disco Bag would be a classic but it seems that it is slowly being phased out. I only see the black on the Gucci website.

Gucci bags never stay - ever.

But they do come round again. One of the problems with the SD is that it was a Frida bag and AM as a CD wanted no traces of her anywhere. No he's gone, it may come back some day.

I thought the Celine Luggage would become a classic - and it did. The Mulberry Bayswater is still a classic. Chanel CFs are, but people are carrying them cross-body (at least where I see them in London).

Thing about even classics is the colour prefs, sizes and variations don't stay the same. E.g. People say the Hermes Birkin 35 is looking 'tired' in the size, doubly in Blue Jean etc. I still say wear whatever. To me the 35 will always be the classic B and the 25s look more try-hard.

Gucci reissues are already classics or they wouldn't (keep) bringing them back. I am so, so happy I now own Blondie because ever since seeing one in archive pics I have wanted one. Buying it new, I feel I have the original PLUS, my favourite colour, size, the best of the best.
