Definitely the AW Rocco and 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli. The hype around these two bags back in 2013-2014 was just surreal! It seemed like everyone had to have one, and everyone was raving about them, especially the Pashli! I remember that the Rocco was popular because of Alexander Wang's collab with H&M, and the Pashli was popular because of Phillip Lim's collab with Target. Nowadays, I don't see anyone with those bags anymore.

I actually still wear both of those and I love the fact that I never see anyone with them. Specially in the colors that I have them. To me, I think that the more a bag is considered a "classic" the more I steer away from it.

The Stam. The purse world needed a bag with the very classic shape and size of the Stam when it came along, yet with Marc's edginess in the design. I for one thought it would last.

I agree with this! For the love of Purse Gods please wake up Marc Jacobs and reissue this bags!! I am still hunting my HG Cobalt Blue Stam and can’t find it anywhere...

I feel like the obvious one is the Celine luggage tote, but for me I feel like it’s been coming back recently? At first I was obsessed with it when it came on to the scene, and then got over it, but then lately I have been seeing it more and more again and have fallen back in love with it.

I thought the Chloé Faye bag was going to end up a classic but then chloé seemed to transform into this influencer bag brand that made it loose its appeal to me.

The Dior Diorama: Such a beautiful bag - I loved this bag as soon as I saw pictures of it, especially in rose poudre and gray. Dior still has this bag on their website but only in a couple of colors, and also in the pouch/WOC style. I managed to get the rose poudre color and wish they hadn't discontinued it -- that grey color is also so beautiful.

I have three Pashli’s that I bought preloved - two medium and one large. I’m with you in that it’s nice not to see everyone else carrying the same bag you have.

The Pashli is such a gorgeous bag. I had one for a bit but I couldn’t maneuver through the opening easily enough. I miss it, though, because it was so beautiful.

Celine Luggage bags - the hype had died down but the bags seem to be a staple of Celine and come out in different variations each season. But a lot of people are over it.

Givenchy Antigona - seems like a classic and is going strong so far but time will tell.

I agree. I considered these two bags as well as the Balenciaga Classic City. I noticed some love still, but there was so much vocal hatred over these bags that I reconsidered.

Not to forget Delvaux's Brilliant top handle bag, Moynat's Rejane and Valextra B Cube, all of which I adore for their craftsmanship and design!
Reviving this thread.

Geraldine, are you still out there? I'm not sure if you were saying these "are" classics, or "should have been" classics. I'm also wondering how you feel about them today.

I have and love the Brillant, would totally jump on (if I found on in my budget) and Rejane (super like this bag), and occasionally run into, consider but never pull the trigger on the B-Cube. I think it's super cute and love Valextra, but would like to see on IRL first.

I think the first two are definitely classics, though cannot figure out what I think of the B-Cube and wish there was more info out there.

I like the idea of this thread so am going to join in.

There’s been some debate on the Celine luggage, for me I think that one *is* a classic. I agree many people are over it, but many people are also ‘over’ the Chanel classic flap and others that are common, and yet people are still buying them.

One I thought would be classic but I think is not is the Proenza Schouler PS1. Still think it’s a great bag, and they are still selling em, but I feel like I never see them in the wild, as opposed to the luggage.
