I like this thread! I do think there is a big difference (at least for me). There have been lots of bags I've loved online or in magazines, but have been meh about once I've actually held it in my hand and seen myself with it in a mirror. If my husband doesn't find it flattering, either, then I tend to leave the bags in the store. I trust his opinion and style sense for the most part (but if I love something enough, I can wear him down over time
