"Bag" vs. "bag on YOU"

i think the colour is totally cute! i mean, you bought this bag for yourself after all! you chose the colour, style etc.... so i really think you should keep this bag! if you love it, you should keep it!!!! i basically agree with what everyone else has said!! "you're husband is not wearing your bag"

let us know what you decide! i think the paddington is a great bag to have!:amuse:

i have to love the bag and it has to look good on me. i'm petite and i love big bags, but some do look strange on me or they just don't suit me personality wise, no matter how much i love it on the shelf.

You guys rock! I think everyone here has great suggestions, and I am going to sleep on it (since I got home late and couldn't send it out today) and let you know what I decide. I was kind of having doubts before my husband said anything, so his comment only made me rethink it even more. My neighbors say the bag "isn't me" and so far the only person who likes it is my son. (He is well trained...when he saw the bag he said "OH! YOU GOT A CHLOE???") I do love the color, and the bag is really cute, but in a Hollywood starlet kind of way. I am not loving the lock--it's much bigger than I expected--and the zippers have been hard to get in and out of, so maybe it's just not the right bag for me and I should just send it back and enjoy it on everyone else. Everyone here who has seen the bag has agreed that the Edith is much more my style (I love big bags, even though I am short), so I may just wait until the Edith arrives and, if I love it, buy a second color. Unless I am obsessed with another bag by that time!

They say that really short girls shouldn't wear huge bags.. but screw that.. I love huge bags...

I say, if you like it.. keep it.. if you're having doubts about it... think it over for a few days... and if you're still on the fence, send it back.... and buy one you're truly happy with.

I just forget the zippers and leave them open all the time. The weight of the lock is enough to keep the bag secure. I never ever zip mine.

i buy a bag because i love the way it looks feels and its quite a bonus when it even looks better on me...but i basically buy it because i just dont gotta have it..lol..i do believe i have a love affair with bags...

If you don't love it than it's better to return. LOL when you said that your son is well trained. I've the same with my 8 year old and he usually likes all my bags but not the paddy. He thinks it looks like those Chinese wrinkle dogs but he likes the leather an loves touching it.

I love it when women with *ahem* ba dunk a dunk wear what was supposedly meant for "sticks"! I'm sure you look great with it! Not like it's a tiny pochette so I don't see what the problem would be.

Men...what do they know anyways?! Just kidding :]

ET, I think you should go into the user control panel put a sig under your name to say, "My bag is a Hogan Scout", LOL! I've seen a number of ppl enquire as to your avvie and I understand why as she's gorgeous! :D

Yes, I do get a lot of questions about it. It's a fabulous bag...and was a nightmare to try to find! I have it in three colors, and a Hogan Weekend/Shopper in chocolate. The leather on my lemon Scout is just as nice as the Chloe. And it looks good! LOL.

I should start a Hogan thread...not many "followers" here, I think.

I guess I've never really thought about this before. I don't try a bag on to see if it looks right, just to see if its comfortable. I *think* I can get away with small clutches or large totes, so I've never really thought about it... *wonders if she looks daft and didnt realise* lol!
