I dont even look at a bag unless the price tag is well over $1000.00 it seems. I remember about 20 years ago when I was a poor, newly divorced single mom carrying a Target bag I got for $10 (at least it was leather) and it was the only one I had for 5 years! I think thats why I am now a bag whore...and proud of it. I DONT do Dooney or Coach..ick...I have passed this trait onto my daughter, whos 24, shes into shoes...lately Manolos...but she also carries Chloe bags...I feel for the guy she eventually marries...sigh...my spare bedroom is wall to wall clothes racks...really...its her closet...yikes.

i'm glad you other girls are experiencing the same thing i am. my dooney is now permanently resting in my closet. and my coach bags rarely make an appearance any more. after lv what else is there? (no offense to any hermes, gucci gals...ect. i like them too!)

Nah, not me, I just like pretty things. I do have some bags on my wish list that are not LV or Chanel, they just aren't high up on my list. I am kind of loving my daughters Tokidoki chiao chiao bag thoug.....it makes a great laptop bag when it isn't folded.

:/ I really don't get this.. To me it's just sad. You should buy bags because you like them and they are pretty and carry all of your stuff, not just as status symbols... :(

Since I've joined this forum, I turned into a total BAG SNOB! (not that I blaming the forum)....I won't buy a bag for less than $500!:shrugs: I'm soo ashamed.:shame: I'm just soo spoiled by the quality and detailing of the higher end bags....once I got a taste of a highend bag, there was no going back!

I will only purchase LV and an occasional Gucci and hopefully one day soon at least one Hermes! I prefer bags that do not go on sale. I love that I can purchase a bag and three years from now it is still a classic!

I'm too much of a rebel to become a Bag Snob.I've never been a person to fall for all the hype regarding the It Bag bulls%&t :upsidedown: .I simply buy what suits my fancy regardless of the designer or price tag.

Honestly....I never had this fetish over a bag untill I layed my eyes on the Damier line at LV....and I have seen LVs b/f but never felt this way.....

I wouldnt of guessed in a million years that I would be spending this much on purses...which is crazy in theory...but in reality....is a joy to me...

I still have not found any other brand or bag that I like more than this pattern.... :drool:

I would never really buy a bag soley for the brand....although if you are paying high prices...a trusted brand does give you an incentive vs. unknowns for the same money.....:yes:

My mom was laughing at me earlier in the summer when I was transferring all my stuff from a beautiful LV to a $10 target special. She just thought it was funny. I have some beautiful designer bags, but I also have bags that I have bought at flea markets in Argentina for the equivalent of $6 that have so much character.

My life changed after I got an MJ bag, and from then it was only up as far as bags went....LV, Chloe, Balenciaga etc. The only times now when I use a cheaper bag are the days when I'm going somewhere or doing something that might involve dirt, and thus harm to my precious bag children. Muh, i guess I'm a bag snob too, probably, but I don't really mind, lol!
