Bag Lining-which of your bags has the best/worst?

I have a Donna Karan hobo that has the most plush suede lining. It feels wonderful to the touch. However, it's not the easiest to keep clean. The blue and white cotton gingham on my DKNY tote is cute. Even though LVs are general spartan in the lining department, my Neverfull has the cute stripes, fleurs, and vintage Louis Vuitton logo. Even though the lining is just canvas, I like how it is bonded to the outer canvas. It makes getting into the bag easier, because there is no loose lining bunching up.
I agree with those who said Dooney lining is no so nice. I also don't like cheap satiny linings. They tend to rip over time.

I like the lining in my Chanels. They are either lambskin or calfskin very very soft.

I also like thick fabric linings that have a taffeta feel to them, like Fendi or Prada. I also like the lining in Tignanello's Perfect 10 bag.

The worse linings I've seen are in the Kathy Van Zeeland bags, I had a lining rip from the leather seam the week I bought it.

I love the lining in my YSL hobo - the softest suede!

The linings in Belen Echandia bags are wonderful as well - there's a lovely assortment of colors, and they are so durable, yet so pretty at the same time.

And ITA with the critiques for satin linings that bunch up a lot. That is never a good sign if you are looking for durability.

My favorite linings are the Silk Coach linings. The lining that I dislike the most would by my Marc Jacobs Teri bag. The lining is like a black and white graffiti spelling Marc Jacobs and it's just too busy. Sometimes I can't find things because the lining is camouflaging it.

But with all of this, the lining has not once been a decision factor in buying a purse.

I love the lining in my older Prada bags: emerald green smooth leather, durable but still soft! Leather linings are my favorite and in a perfect world all bags (at least all that I want) would be lined with leather.

Suede linings in my Gryson bags are my second favorite, although they are harder to keep clean than leather or fabric.

The downside with suede and leather is that they do add to the weight of a bag, but I still prefere them.

I can live with a fabric lining if the bag itself is fabulous enough, but a leather or suede lining makes a bag a little bit more luxurious.

Suede linings of BVs
Black suede lining Tanner Krolle
Softest-ever matching chustnut brown lamb leather lining of Gucci 'pony'/croc/box Secret flap
The softest matching suede in my Gucci tan horsebit hobo
Bright red leather in vintage korret OMG
Dark red wonderful leather that is in some of my Chanel bags
Pale shell-pink lining of another vintage lizard bag
Perfect black leather in my Gucci lizard 'Kelly'
and so on but I couldn't choose between them really as they are all so different :girlsigh:

In fact if the lining is FAB and I like the design I can't help myself

Here's a "hate" I hate the lining in my Brighton hobo bag. It is a very pretty floral print in shades of pink/burgundy/cream. But the pattern makes it almost impossible to find anything in the bag. Everything gets lost in the bold pattern of the lining.

I never gave much thought to bag linings in the past, but now I know what to watch out for in the future.

I'm not particularly picky about linings but I will not buy a bag with black lining! I carry a big bag and hate the black hole of not being able to find anything in the darkness of the interior!

I would say my least favorite lining is the bird lining in RMs. Luckily, RM changes her linings every year or so, so I don't think they're a permanent thing. I won't buy a bag with the birds, but some people like them.
