Bag charms - do they always have date codes?

I recently bought a transatlantic bag charm in DE from a very reputable UK preloved agency. I’ve only just been told that it should have a date code. It most definitely doesn’t! Nowhere on the hardware and not stamped on the back.
I’ll be gobsmacked if it’s not authentic though! Do some bag charms not have date codes?

Yes I know where it should be but it’s most definitely not there

I don’t like to ask for free authentication if I’m wasting their time with no date code. I’ve paid for authentication this morning and awaiting an answer.
