Bag abuser!!!

I treat my bags with kid gloves. I really spend way too much on them to treat them any way other than with respect. I want to wear them for years to come and I figure it's up to me to make sure that they get the best treatment possible. Even people at work know how I feel about my bags. You can look but please, please don't touch my bags!

I could NEVER abuse my bags!! When I go to resturants and other public places I always hang it on one of my knees when I'm sitting down. My bags never touch the ground! Ever! If people try to touch my bags I jump back and almost yell at them :boxing: (not badly though, anyone who knows me knows not to thouch them!;) ). LOL. But hey if I'm spending that much money on it no one is gonna touch it.

I have to admit as well... I was a bag abuser.

I have a Soho Black Leather Hobo that I put through the ringer... surprisenly it only has a few marks from my abuse (and has gotten soft over the years, but thats good.). I would put it down on the theater floor, on the floor at restaurants, thrown it to the backseat of my car, put it down on the grass, put it on top of the computer at work.... (are ya cringing now?), etc.

Now that I have FINALLY :yahoo:gotten my Signature Stitched Hobo (I got a hella good deal on it too!), I am going to be more careful how I treat it.

But on a lighter note... My sister had been eyeing my leather hobo since I got it and now that I have a new bag... I have a feeling she will be asking what I am going to do with the leather hobo (it's in a dustbag at the moment). LOL. :roflmfao:

Well, let alone that I am a "germ" and "clean freak." You're handbag is a "personal accessory." We carry makeup, feminin products, etc., it even bugs me to put money in my wallet at times. Going to a public restroom can be a great acrobatic feat trying to hold that bag on my shoulder and pull down pants, but I will never hang my purse on that hanger and never ever set it on any floor, not even my own!

It is interesting how some people can be so cavalier about hygiene as well as a costly item. It may even be a lack of respect towards the time and energy it takes to earn the money to acquire the thing.

I've always respected the things we have a accummulated as a family, protect and preserve as humanly possible. I don't take life and things for granted.

I am in bxn. With my white bags I must put something clean before laying it on the table or *gasp* floor.

But I recently brought an orange tote (70) that is of windbreaker material. That I don't really care about but even putting it on the floor its clean so...?

anyone else love when you sit at a table and there's an extra chair at your table just so you can put your purse on it?

I just spend too much money on my purses to throw them on a dirty floor, that makes me sad

I just wanted to gripe. At lunch today, I saw a lady carrying the large Ergo hobo in the vintage natural leather. I admired its beauty as I was in line to order my food, wishing I could afford one. Horror of horrors, I walked by her again when I was leaving, and saw that she had it tossed on the floor behind her, wide open, practically in the middle of a walkway where anyone could have stepped on it (or taken it) and who knows what grossness is living on that floor. Hey lady - if you're reading this - give that bag to me if you don't care about it!

:cursing:

i love your atittude! lol

I was lucky enough to when I put my bag down on the ground to not put it on yucky stuff. I had spilled some drops on it (mainly ice cream), but it is leather so it was easy to clean up.

But, I had the unfortunet happen to the inside of the bag though... I put one of those thin mint chocolate candy in it one night at a resturant and I went to work the next day and set my bag on my computer at work (like I usually did)... well.... chocolate and heat... you can guess what happened... .

So lesson learned and it goes to show you that the threats are on the outside as well as the inside of the bags...

... and I was able to get most of the chocolate out myself as well as the mint... it just has a light stain now.

Yeah.... Now that I have commited one of the deadly sins of bags (lol).....

... back to the thread!

I treat my bags respectfully because I know money doesn't grow on trees and I want them to last a while but I also have had to realize that once someone pays money for something, it's theirs and they can do what they please with it. It might not be to my liking but it's their money and their property. If they want to throw money away, it's their business. She may have a lovely collection of Chanel and Hermes at home and not care about what happens to the Coach bag. Who knows? :shrugs: I'm nice to all my bags, regardless of what brand though.
