I completely love the scarf, so that’s what I visualize when I see these. I guess it is all about associations. I agree with PT that the bolide is the lovelier option, but then again I love the scarf, so I like that I can see more of the landscape; the larger canvas of the bag seems to work better for achieving that.
I think Plumes, Bolides and bags with less hw generally work better for these types of things. Not sure about the type of 'perforation' of the 'lower sky', my only aesthetic reservation.
My brain works like this.
Q. Is this 'conversation' hypothetical (as in am I just passing time)?
A. Depends on cash-flow at time of arrival
Q.Would I even be offered one?
A. Possibly as I was offered the Man's 'Shark'. Possibly not since I've turned down 3 'coveted' bags in a row.
Q.Would I love it if it were say, Prada?
A. Possibly actually, but not for the same price
Q.Would I pay 3 x < price of a normal Bolide
A Possibly worth it.
Q Will I pursue it?
A See first answer
Q. Do I need a another Bolide?
A. Shut-up.
I wouldn't kick-out the rd/wht/blu multi-letter K that goes with the new scarf either. What these ltd ed really are, as always, is a visual marketing opportunity for the new season and so worth making for H. On social media a noteworthy bag that gets shared x 1M can't be measured in cost alone, that they're for sale at all ups that share-ability, clever H.
For the record, the Mangeoire (black 'bucket') 'curious face' bag caught my eye before any of the others and is a lot more 'me' in many ways. That also has a very late 1980s H look to me (I have a nautical 'novelly' bag from that time) and a time of the Sac a Malices, that as @BBC pointed out has already said are much more H, spirited and fun. For the record, I would rather be offered that Mangeoire than anything, coming round to the surreal Bolide too.
I love ABdM scarf too, I can't stop buying more.
Can't believe the price of the pre-loved Sac Himalayas, no disrespect to anyone who may have actually bought one. I guess whatever floats people's boats or mountains... I won't be asking abut that 'hillside' Constance either.
