If only they all go into production!! I'm so frustrated but relieved at the same time that often the looks I like ended up not going into production or can only be found in Paris.:annoyed::annoyed:

It completely depends on the buyers and SMs feedback from each store plus what HQ will allow them to buy. They can be 'overly' selective on colours too. As you say some pieces don't make financial or logistical sense to go into commercial production BUT for those model size, they can wind up in sales. Navy blue suede boots would be really lovely and to my mind quite practical so fingers crossed. There are also some multi-coloured suede booties in pink and purples wedge heel that will hopefully make it too. I really hope H revises its prices this year, I draw the line at $4+K footwear.

Tbh, sometimes I'm very confused with what they believe to make financial sense. We saw quite a few of those "pants with cape" design, which you posted a few in your previous post, also in SS. But among all of them they decided to produce only one of them. The one with very busy pattern for such an already a lot going on kind of design and none of the plain ones that are way more timeless, practical, and elegant. I really love that style but along with the busy pattern, it's way too much. I agree with you those boots are yummy. The blue ones are divine and practical but I kind of like both the apricot and burnt orange ones too. So unexpected! I saw some prices for Pre-Fall and I'm afraid they are not so friendly to the wallet. The prices for coats seem higher than last year. Alas, but they are even prettier IRL than on the runway. :girlsigh:

True, I love the unexpectedness. There were a chanteuse pair too (although I bought gold Gucci last year so better go for red or navy).

You see this:

But I see this, more or less:

Certainly I think the Bolide is the more successful of all the 'landscape' Au Bout du Monde-style bags. Too much hardware just competes. I guess we're lucky to these offered, for years bags like these only graced the windows of FSH purely for enticement.

Ha ha ha ha BBC! The infamous Himalaya bag! Maybe next season we'll see a reinterpretation of its cousin the "shorts bag?"

@calexandre I can’t help it. I LOVE hating that bag. To me, it is so bizarre and inexplicable...so not-H in that pure, perfectionistic, heritage, design-driven sense. It’s almost the exception that proves the rule. It’s SOOOO....awful. Outrageous. Expensive. Ugly. Superfluous. The Sac a Malices were odd, but more quirky - clever, humorous, useful. And yet, I almost feel like this Constance is a modern hommage to the Sac Himalaya. The shape, thank goodness is the same, but the placement of the exotics and the lines...well, I don’t think it’s completely a coincidence. The shorts bag I don’t know as well, but it’s the same idea, perhaps we’ll see.

@papertiger yes the Au Bout du Mondes are much better. But I do feel this is more an evolution (a justification? an “owning it”) of the Himalaya, designed and produced much better.

I am probably reading way too much into this. [emoji16][emoji38][emoji57]

It’s nice these are being produced, and this is really cool and unique, but I’ve seem some incredible, stunning pieces in those windows that are much more commercially viable (aka “droolworthy”) than this.

I completely love the scarf, so that’s what I visualize when I see these. I guess it is all about associations. I agree with PT that the bolide is the lovelier option, but then again I love the scarf, so I like that I can see more of the landscape; the larger canvas of the bag seems to work better for achieving that.
