Are we sure the “wash” scarves are actually machine washable? It says in the description “to give a velvety feel and patina to the silk”. It’s still not clear to me. :confused1:

I was wondering if it is a “washed silk”, which to me is almost the texture of a dip dye. I would absolutely love to add some washed silk scarves, softer and less slippery!

It definitely sounds like washed silk. But I NEED ;) to know for sure if it’s machine washable.

It's true, people could have got hold of the wrong end of the H-stick down the line. It could be they're just washed silk. I have a DD in a pale colour, not only does it seem to get dirty more easily than the twill (the washed-silk process micro 'frays' the fibres which makes it feel soft but also makes dust and dirt stick better) but no stain was coming out by hand-wash. The good news is, out of desperation, I put the pale one in the washing machine twice over on 20/wool&silk cycle and it came out fine (and clean after the second wash) same texture.

I would also like to know for sure

@nicole0612 Personally I find the DDs slip more than the reg. twill but it's worth buying one (or 2...) for the texture alone. They also seem to soften the colours a little, and are more semi-matte, more soft sheen than twill shine.
