Authenticate4U.com experiences?

Also, authenticate4u charges $30 for Hermes authentication but charges $150 for anything in writing that could be used for a dispute. So for disputes, Bababebi is not significantly more expensive and very good (and prompt).
I've seen ebay accept regular ($7.50) PDF authentications from A4U. All their authentications state authenticity (or not) on a PDF form which ebay accepts. It's possible it depends on the person who reviews the claim but it's not always necessary to pay for the long form.

Thanks for the correction and for the information BB! I was told this by A4U, but of course there may be an incentive on their part to encourage the full $150 document. They did state that even if you need the $150 document in the end, that they would deduct the $30 fee for the simple authentication. This was for Hermes, so that is why it is higher than the $7.50 or $15 that they charge for other brands for the simple authentication.

Ebay might also be less restrictive with a less expensive brand item. I think they (sometimes use their brains and) realize that making someone pay $15 for documentation for a $30 item is asking a lot.

Good point. That would make sense. I also am interested: have you seen PayPal accept the $7.50 version, or just Ebay? (As we can use PayPal for other buying sites other than Ebay).

I'm not sure whether it was ebay or paypal. The disputes were fakes from ebay but I'm not sure where they'd been filed.

Paypal tends to be more demanding when it comes to SNAD. But again, I'm not sure where the disputes were actually filed.

Then again, whether filed on either site, it could be up to the discretion of the person handling it.

Just out of curiosity - what's everyone's experience with timescale with Authenticate4U? I paid for a basic email authentication on Monday, emailed with pics etc and haven't heard anything back. I sent a message via their website form yesterday and tried ringing today but only got a message to leave a voicemail. Anyone had a similar experience? I haven't read entire thread so apologies if this has already been addressed!

Oh dear... read back just a page or two and you will see. They aren't really a functional service and haven't been for a while.

Try reaching out to Authenticate4U on Facebook if you have access to FB..
The service seems to be having some major issues...

Maybe they should move to be a FB only business. Just saying ...

Authenticate4U should consider updating their website to their Facebook page..just saying , is so right..
For people who don't have access to social media, its a problem..
but much less frustration for many who need this service & who would know to go to FB
This is a service business & changes need to be made ...one shouldn't have to figure
out where to go to get the information they are waiting on...

I just used Authenticate4U last week for 2 items and they were extremely thorough. I sent the extra pics requested and Lesley even had a second authenticator take a look as a couple of my pictures were looking odd because of the angles. I did communicate with her more through FB than email, but used email to pay and send my picture link. Very pleased with the results - they are the only service I use
