Greeting to all Chanel Fans, yesterday i have sent my new purchased Preloved Chanel Jumbo double flap bag caviar GHW to them for authentication process.. I was wonder did you guys ever sent your Chanel bag or any other brands of bag to them for authenticate? Are they reliable?

I purchased this bag from my friends as she wanna get fund for her ultimate dream bag - HERMES
This is my kind of ultimate dream bag, at first I am planning to purchase a brand new from outlet.. but my friend offer me such a good deal for this jumbo, its in almost prefect condition..except there's some tiny little part on the turnlock seems to be tarnish -.-
I should have faith on my friend that she wont sell me a fake Chanel.. but it would be much better if i can get a confimation for its authenticate from an expert..
In Malaysia.. a brand new Chanel Jumbo double flap bag price are around RM20,000++
I get mine as a preloved for RM 15,000 .. that save a lots for me.. further more the bag are in prefect condition.. I am so so soooooo in love with it now..
Please do advice me or tell me .. Authenticate4u are reliable or not? I mean for their service to authenticate a Chanel bag..

We don't discuss authentication details individually and authentication questions are only allowed in Chanel authentication thread.

For A4U experience, it's been widely discussed here

If you want to have your bag authenticated , suggest contacting
Etinceler. For a small fee they will let you know if your bag is indeed authentic &
this is a service that many from the forum use.

I owe Authenticate4U my life... they helped me get refunds on one fake Givenchy Antigona and one fake Celine trapeze. They also helped eliminate any stress of mine and confirm that a Moschino belt that I had purchased was indeed authentic.

THANK YOU A4U!! :heart::heart::heart:

Hi
I got a bag from fashionphile (new medium boy) in new condition. Since it was a newer series bag, i couldn't get it authenticated here. I normally get my bsgs authenticated from etinceler but even they returned the money since they don't authenticate the new ones. Authenticate4u was recommended to me on this forum. They charge a little more for newer series. I was okay with it. Its been 2 months now since i sent my inquiry. Have sent 4 reminders only to get auto responses that they are experiencing high volume and should be getting back to me shortly. Is it normal with them? I mean 2 months is more than enough time, dont u think? any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

If you have Facebook, I would recommend that you reach out to them there. Apparently, they are quite responsive when clients with delayed authentication bring it to their attention on that platform.

2 months is a very long time to wait for an authentication. eBay only gives you 30 days to dispute those authenticity claim- the most I would wait is 2 weeks and then I would start looking elsewhere.

For the newer model Chanel bags that are super prone to the super fakes, I would suggest sending it in for a physical inspection. Etinceler and Leather Surgeons both provide this service. It is quite pricey (I think it works out to be about $100 total). However, if you're already spending in the upwards of $4000+, I wouldn't let hesitate to spend a $100 more for that peace of mind. Just my two cents.

I wouldn't wait 2 months for anything. . . sorry but that's not reasonable IMHO.
Everyone doesn't have FB, it's not reasonable to hope people will seek answers there after trying numerous to contact a company directly.

Hi,
Thanks for responding. The only reason I waited was since its from fashionphile I am pretty sure its authentic and I have another boy bag bought from the store, and everything in this one looks matches.. But still I wanted another opinion. I have already paid them and i think its very wrong of them to not respond :(

I will do that, thanks :)I paid full retail price on fashionphile too since it was new. Now I am thinking I should have just gotten it from the store. Might have had to wait a little longer but u have ur peace of mind!

All lessons to be learned..

Personally for Chanel & at that price point, would be more comfortable
purchasing from a major department store & since there is "proof of
purchase" no problems with geting the Chanel bag repaired at a later
date, if needed.. there is no price for peace of mind, IYKWIM

This is also a good point. With Chanel's recent policy change, if you buy from the "preloved" market, they won't repair the bag without the receipt and proof that YOU purchased it directly from Chanel or an authorized dealer.

Unless you're getting a super deal, I would just buy from the boutique just to have the repair option.

Update:
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction :) I contact them on fb and was able to get a response right away and then confirmation of its authenticity in 12 hours :)
