Another great experience with authenticate4u ! My bag was authenticated by 2 authenticators, and again they kept good communication and asked for extra pics where necessary. In my experience Lesley definitely goes above and beyond. ... For $8 ... $8!!! So worth it!

Hi, anyone having a delayed response from authenticate4u.com?

Have sent in 2 authentication requests in October: A Hermes bag on 24 Oct and a Givenchy bag on 26 Oct. I have received the Hermes authentication report pretty quickly on 28 Oct (4D). My Givenchy report is still not out yet :wondering

Are their mail server is experiencing problems? Cos my 2 prev mails to Lesley on my Givenchy were unanswered - no sign of auto response email reply either.

Have also checked my spam box - nothing from Lesley.

Did you send both requests together?

Since A4U uses brand specialists, that means there are different people authenticating different brands.

In your case, the Hermes expert responded to the request quickly and Lesley informed you of the determination.

It could be her Givenchy person hasn't responded to the request or maybe she needs more time to authenticate.

I don't know the answer except to suggest that one authenticator might do her job more quickly than another.

Try contacting her again...

Sometimes when Lesley is experiencing problems, she will post on
her Facebook page with an info.. Is it possible for you to check there ?
(that is if you have access to FB or other social media sites)

Have send both on separate dates: 24 and 26 Oct.

Different authenticators and different response times - That did crossed my mind.

Thanks for the info. I checked their FB page and it stated they were experiencing some Internet issue on 4 November. It might have caused the delay and the missing auto response emails.

I've sent another email inquiry via their website. Hope they get it soon.

May I know how long is the normal turnaround time ?
And usually do they have an auto response email ?
My first enquiry email was responded with an auto response email.
I sent in email with photos to authenticate there was no response email and especially after my internet browser went nuts therefore I am not sure whether the email is sent out.
I sent another email a day after to enquire again, but yet again there were no auto response email nor reply.
shall I wait or .......?
TIA

I would follow up :) They have auto response on weekends and evenings but it's probably set up to only send the auto response once per person. In the past, I've received a response with in 24 hours and now I'm on day 5. It probably depends on their work load.

I sent 2 requests Monday but hadn't heard back so I followed up yesterday and they responded this morning. They were having a server issue and would be in touch shortly. Which is fine. I would pay more and wait longer for them :)

I can only speak of my personal experience with authenticate 4 u but I think they are fantastic. I love them :)

Hi Adniels,
Thanks for your advice.
I heard good word about them, thats also the reason why i chose them :smile1:
I wouldn't mind waiting, Just that I worry they don't received my email.
In total I sent them 4 Emails,
1st: Enquiry on photo requirement (17 nov) - replied
2nd: the photos - my browser went nuts thus not sure whether its sent. but it does appear on my sent folder.(17 Nov) - no response
3rd: to confirm whether did they received the my photos (18 nov) - no response
4th: to enquire did they receive any of my emails. (20 nov) - no response

I feel bad to keep sending email to them.:nogood:
I don't mind wait for their service, however, i did not receive any update/reply from them make me wonder did my email went through at all..
Thanks again for the advice. I shall try to email them again next week, if i still not receive anything from them.

Well, it's kind of relieving to hear that I'm not the only one who waits :))
I've sent an inquiry 9 days ago and had no response. Then I contacted their FB page - and I had a response almost immediately. So I've sent photos, got a quick update from Lesley, but still wait for the formal evaluation.

So now I'm being hesitant. Of course, I don't want to seem rude and to bother Lesley every so often, but on the other hand I want to open a return case on ebay, as I already mentioned to a seller that her item was fake:nogood:

Yup, I tried to reach them by Facebook and got their reply. :)
I just feel bad to keep sending them email.
I think it would be great if they could send out acknowledgement email. 2¢

No customer should feel bad about contacting a business that is providing a paid service when the service/contact/updates are not provided in a timely and professional manner. It is not a favor the customers ask for and it is not for free after all.

I sent a Givenchy bag to them for authentication on Monday (30 Nov). First I got an automatic email and then Lesley replied me within an hour saying that the photos are being sent off for review :) Hopefully I will get a formal evaluation soon though. I need to ask for a refund if the bag was fake and the longer the harder I will get it back :(

I have a couple of comments.

Although Lesley is the owner and admin of the site, one of the things I love about A4U is that they use brand specialists for authentications, experts who are skilled in whatever particular brand is being evaluated. As a client, I know I'm more apt to get an accurate authentication since my item is being evaluated by an expert.

That said and as indicated by your post, Lesley responded (both automated and personally) to your request but after that, her hands are tied since she's awaiting an evaluation by someone else. And depending on the authenticator and how busy that person is with her/his own life/job/responsibilities, etc, it might not result in an immediate authentication response.

But again, that's what I (personally) love about this service. Lesley doesn't claim to be expert in every item and in every brand and defers to those who are. So accuracy is more likely but she's also at the mercy of those others if they aren't as fast as clients would like.

As for your needing a refund should the item turn out to be fake, in most cases, you probably don't need to worry. You don't state where you purchased or how you paid but if you used Paypal, you have up to 180 days to file a claim.

I understand that you aren't wanting to wait 6 months for your money but the point is that you have plenty of time do file.
