Perhaps the bag has been cleaned with something that discolored the edges?

Hi! The bag seems to be perfectly authentic, but I have no idea what could've caused the discolorating of the edges. It's not normal, purple PS1 bags have matching edge paint. Perhaps you could touch it up if you manage to match the color? For reference, this is a Large and it's at least 10 years old.

It's a newer PS1 in Python. It looks like python imitation because all scales are the same. It could be ok but we need more pics of the stamped PS letters and fold-over clasp. Wait for @IntheOcean to look at this too.

Hi! As usual, TRR fails to provide their customers with adequate pictures. It could be authentic, but like Ellie said, this seems to be an embossing and not actual python, which is what I would normally expect from Proenza Schouler. I'm sorry I couldn't be more help.
No worries - thank you both so much for your help! I found it odd that it was not actual python and wasn’t able to find any version of this bag with this embossing. Either way I appreciate the info!
Hi everyone. I just purchased this bag before I found this lovely and helpful forum. Seller said she bought this bag in 2016. This bag is quite hard to find in my country esp this color. I recognized the store they wrote on the authenticity card (store was opened from 2014-2020). Does anyone know whether it's authentic or fake? Thanks in advance!

Thanks so much @Elliespurse and @IntheOcean. So it's not contrasting edges but discoloration, interesting. I thought the edge paint was red, which surprised me as I never saw the older PS1 with contrasting edge paint. I already have a PS1 in indigo, also size large, and thought this would be too similar. But maybe if I have the edges painted red....

Hi, it looks ok but more closeup pics of the inside and back of the bag would be great.
The box says 2013 and it's the first season with the new logo and lining, many of the small bags didn't have the fabric tag then.
