I've sent an email to the seller saying I won't buy a fake bag and she's asking me how it's fake. Could you provide me with some specific examples or should I pay to have someone "officially" authenticate it? Is the onus on me to prove it's a fake or on her to prove it's authentic? I'm new to buying designer bags online and am feeling stupid about this whole mess

Go to the eBay chat. Give them the auction number and item. Tell them you found out the item is counterfeit and ask that they remove the listing and your obligation to pay instantly is removed. Don't use the Report Item link for this. Go straight to the Chat window. The CSR can get into your account that way.

If that doesn't work, you either take the NPB hit or pay to have a formal authentication letter.

And it IS fake.

For future reference, stick to reputable retailers. You'll pay more, but you'll save yourself a LOT of stress...

Hello everyone,

I would appreciate help in authenticating this Prada luscious suede wallet. I purchased this as pre-owned about six years ago. I've never used it because it's just too pretty.

My photos may not show the Prada name embossed above Milano and opposite Made in Italy all embossed across the bottom of the first credit card slot. The Prada name is also embossed in the suede on the outside of the wallet just above the fold.

The suede material used is the softest I have ever rubbed my fingers over, it's so smooth and soft. The lining of the coin area, the currency area and the open area behind the CC slots is done in black faille material.

The wallet came with the original box (bottom label photo provided), various black filler cards includeing one for CC slots which is printed with Prada and underneath that are the words Credit Card. There is a smaller thick Prada card with a white label showing Articolo, Parte and Colore and what looks like UPC information . Underneath this white label is a hard black plastic piece approx. 1 3/4" long and 1/2" high.

There is a white Prada COA with the item number, Material (Fashion Rose) and colore (Rosso). Also included is another black with white labeling containing the same information as the label on the bottom of the box.
