^^^Ooo, that one looks nice. I'm new to the MJ line, so I'm not offering any opinions as to whether you should bid or not, but comparing the pictures to my Stam, it's either real or a very, very good fake.

Somehow this looks fishy to me. The receipt photo is different than the others, there is white edging along the photo whereas the others don't. And the photo of the zipper, the leather looks brown/burgundy, not black. I would ask for photos of the serial tag, and additional photos of the bag. The quilting along the bottom is uneven, but from what I heard, this is not uncommon with this season.

OK ladies, help me out here.
Is this blueberry large MP legit?
eBay: Marc Jacobs Large Multi Pocket Blueberry Blue NWT $995 (item 200029703435 end time Sep-27-06 19:03:28 PDT)

The description said nickel hardware, so I sent the seller the following message:
Is the hardware on this bag gold or silver? The pictures look golden
but the description says nickel, which I usually associate with
silver-tone. Also, do you know when/where the bag was
purchased?
And this was her response (not sent through the eBay system, I should add):
Hi. Yhe hardware is gold. It's a gorgeous bag. 100% authentic, brand new. Tags attached...never used. All of my items come directly from the manufacturer. This is direct from MarcJacobs.

That sent up a red flag for me, since I didn't think just anyone could buy bags directly from MJ. She included a link for an online web store she apparently owns, which does not sell MJ:
Juicy couture terry skirt, twelfth street by cynthia vincent, juicy couture maternity

The bag looks so real to me, but there's something so fishy about this woman's response that I'm just totally confused. :confused1: :shrugs:

I was really looking at this MP (I believe this is the one that has been listed before), until someone posted a few links to places where you can get fakes a couple of weeks back. There is a really decent looking fake version of this bag. The photo on that website looks just like the photo in the auction you are looking at. I am not saying this is fake, but just that it is enough, along with the strange answers you received, to scare me off.

Tin -
Thanks for that, it's exactly what I needed to hear. I want an MP with gold hardware, and blue was an acceptable color, so this just seemed too good to be true. I think I'll just wait until I can find a black one brand new at a real store, then my mind will rest easy . . . :girlsigh:

Call Matthew at the MJ boutique in Las Vegas. When I called a few weeks ago, they had MP's in black. I hope you find one, but I'll keep an eye out in the meanwhile!
Tami

^Really hard to see from the photos. They are bad. Looks like an employee of Off 5th to me with the variety of clothes, shoes and bags they are selling. Weird though that all the other bags seem to have the outlet tag still attached.

Thanks for looking...I thought it might be my monitor or something.

kezza-Italywedding is a reputable seller on ebay. She has never sold fakes so yes that Blueberry MP is real.

Agree. =) ET bought Blueberry & Denim Multipockets from Marc Jacobs boutiques recently. Most deparment stores carry Denim colored styles with silver hardware, but gold hardware version was also available from MJ boutiques. If I remember correctly, the same applies to Blueberry styles as well. One detail (bothers some members) to note about Blueberry is that the leather edges are white.

^ Tami, don't worry about it, I'm sure I have been wrong before too. There are so many details/sellers to keep track of, it's always good to be extra careful. =) It's nice that we are able to discuss & share our experiences with each other. =)
