A dear friend is considering swapping a big box of high-end makeup for this MJ bag. I asked her to let me bring it to y'all first, to make sure she's getting the real deal.

I remember an Upsale Bags ebay name, but I am not sure if that is the same one. I was told to stay away. I don't know much about the Blake. But there are alot of ladies here that will be able to tell you.

I think that this bag is an absolute classic. Especially in black. I definitely think you will be able to wear the Blake bag for a very long time.

They are supposedly having a sale at the end of Nov-beginning of Dec, and the zip clutch may be marked down again at that time.

I just called the nordstroms rack in Saratoga (Northern CA). They told me that they got some in this morning, so I ran down there. They had a bunch of bags, but I didn't see any clutches.

Thanks for posting that. I called about 8 Racks on Saturday, and no clutches at all. I'm discouraged with it, and will probably end up waiting until Nov/Dec sale.

I agree. I think it's a wonderful bag and the style will last for years. I heard that this bag was a tad heavy, but I'm not sure.

The photos looks convincing, but I'm leery of the seller because of the numerous Gucci, Prada, and Fendi bags. She sells many of the same style bags, but this is the only listing for MJ. I would probably have another forum authenticate another bag to see whether she sells fakes in other brands.

I wish the photos had more light! It's hard to see the front details. From what I can tell it looks good, but I would ask for additional photos of the front and the pockets. If there's a photo of the serial tag inside the interior pocket that would be even better.

That seller didn't reply to better pictures request, I totally ruled out that zipper which didn't look M8 to me -- hehehee, I'm stubborn. Since I don't know the seller's reputation, I'm bothered by the fact that all the previous transactions are not viewable.

For MJ items, I highly recommend Leshent who prices his stuffs reasonably. He's currently out shopping until 9/22, I can't wait to see what he'll bring back. =)

Ran, Blake is a great/classic bag, it's one of the styles in Soft Calf Classic Collection. It's made in 5 or 6 different colors every season since its debut in Fall 2004; Black is the only color that gets made season after season.

OMG, how old is this person? 6? Sounds like a lame story to me...This is the response I received when I asked why there were NM tags on the bag when the auctions says Saks:

"[FONT=Arial, Verdana]My mom bought me the purse she told me it was from saks 5th Ave but it may have been at Neimen Marcus the purse does not have the tag attached thou She removed the tags befor given me my purse. She emailed me these pics befor i sean the bag so it may be from Neimen Marcus cuz she is old But it is 100% Authentic"[/FONT]

well that listing has been removed alright. It's a good thing that you caught that listing. Scammer. Too bad I didn't really see their pics before it got removed.

The ears should be the same colour as the nose, are they or is the pic just missrepresenting the colour? Otherwise they look fine altough the nameprint seems to be a bit rough. Are they used or new?
