Hi Girls! I have just bought a pretty little Lanvin bag in pink. I have been selling and buying on eBay actively for about a year now, and I am pretty good at distinguishing real bags from fakes (I must say- i have had an extensive experience- most of the bags I purchased, had to be returned due to them being replicas). Anyway, I am not an expert when it comes to Lanvin, but I didn't think twice before purchasing this little bag, as it just looked so cute, and perfect for the 'light days'. Anyway, i received it today, and it looks nice. However, i tried to do the research regarding the name of this particular style etc., however nothing comes up. Also, it might sound 'tired' but it doesn't smell of leather. I am also concerned regarding the grained pattern, it seems too 'consistent', if you know what I mean. I must admit- the bag is not made sloppy, and there is nothing coming away, there is no visible glue marks etc. (that normally give away the fakes). Also the chain is very heavy and it looks well made (same for the inner compartments). The lining seems to be normal too. My initial concern regarding the authenticity of this little bag was the fact that the tassels felt too light... I love bags with tassels, but these feel a bit cheap.. I always thought that the big names like Lanvin would use quite thick leather for such features. Please, do help me out with your opinion, as I can not find ANY information regarding this particular Lanvin style. I really like this little bag, but my worst nightmare would be carrying around a fake bag. I have tried to attach the high resolution photos...

Please help me authenticate this Lanvin clutch I just bought off the 'bay. All details seem okay to me, but the coin is kinda off, and the smell of the bag is just weird - I just started to buy Lanvin since last year and I am not familiar with the older collections. Could someone please tell me if the bag is real?
Thank you very much in advance.

I've uploaded the photos here.

Hi everyone!

Hello! It seems that this thread is not active anymore but I hope someone can help me authenticate this Lanvin Happy Pop Shoulder Bag w/ Removable Strap. From the research that I've done about this bag (and there's not much!) the strap with the muti- link chain was first featured in the FW 2010 collection and this bag was sold in 2010.

The leather feels soft yet sturdy like calfskin and its very pliable and it has a waxy texture. The metal doesn't feel cheap and it has some weight to it. From the few photos that I found the chain has all the correct numbers of chain links (though some of the color has faded). The bag has the correct phillipe screws that I've seen in order happy bags in this forum. I feel in love with this bag and I bought without authenticating it so I really hope its real. Luckily the consignment store I bought it from takes returns.

FULL ALBUM
I have linked a full album with the rest of the pictures (I cant seem to resize them on this forum). I hope someone is able to authenticate it. I would really appreciate it. Thank you!

I'm sure there are a lot of horror stories on eBay and I'm sure a lot of them are true but then I'm also sure that some of them are not true as most people can not authenticate a bag properly. I wouldn't be too worried about buying a bag on eBay from a reputable seller. If they were selling fake bags, there account would be closed by eBay after a number of complaints.

I'm interested in purchasing a purchasing a pair of Lanvin booties from vestiairecollective.com. I've heard that not everything from their site is authentic. Do you authenticate Lanvin shoes too? I don't want to purchase them unless I know they are authentic.

TIA
