My Millie, Logan, and Halle have a twill lining, and my Logan has almost a satin. Yeppers, they change linings. If you go back on the photos thread to the very beginning, there were striped and floral linings. I guess they get bored sewing in the same things all the time. :D

The 2005 and 2006 styles that I have are all lined in a suede like material. Kooba changed their linings with the 2007 bags.

Thanks for the info BookWriter and pearlbaby! :smile1: I love the look of the suede lining the best..I wish Kooba lined all of their bags that way....mine is the same material as the dustbag :-s

Forgot to post pics. I am new to Kooba bags, so I wanted to verify that this bag is authentic. I've been looking at previous post, but can't find this bag. Help!

Hello authenticators! I saw this beautiful kooba maggie bag at TJ Maxx today. It was priced at $349 without tax. Even though it was discounted almost $200 less than retail, it was still a little steep for me. I went online and found the exact purse on amazon for $230 with free shipping. Can anyone tell me if this bag is authentic? Thanks for your help!

I don't own a Maggie so I'm rather winging it here... Is the seller Amazon itself and not a 'secondary' seller/private seller? Amazon is in the fashion/clothing biz now as "My Habit" (I think that's what they call it). IF it's Amazon itself, then very likely it's legit. However--again--there's no side view of the zipper pull and that's one of the keys most of us look for.

There's also no way (it appears) to ask for additional photos, like one of the "manufactured in" tag sewn into the lining.

What's the return policy?

Thanks BookWriter for responding. Amazon is the actual seller, so I believe I can return it if necessary. I will definitely check for the zipper pull and the manufactured tag when I receive it. Since the price was so much lower than TJ Maxx, I was concerned. Thanks again!

Hi--my biggest purse regret is letting go my green Kooba Lucy. Well, there isn't a green on ebay, but I bid on a black. Does this look authentic?

The seller is: Lind*s ***stuff
Seller no. 198273

Hope I didn't make a big mistake, and thanks for your help!

It looks like it lost the zipper pull and that was replaced with a Christmas charm. However, here's the deal with Linda's Stuff: you can call the biz if you have questions. I have. I bid (but lost out) on an Ada a while back. Concerned with authenticity, I CALLED. They guarantee authenticity. So if you get it and find out it's NOT real, they will refund. Linda's Stuff is a fairly large business owned by an attorney. There've been a couple of news articles about her. Can she make mistakes, or can her employees make mistakes? Sure. But I would personally bid on her listings because she will stand behind them.

Since you can call them, you can ask for the photo of the interior label sewn in the lining showing "manufactured in..." That's one more piece of the proof puzzle. But since the zipper pull is 404, you can use that as a 'tell.'

Lucy was another highly faked item years back. I also suggest you look through the photo section in this forum. There are lots of Lucys posted and much discussion on how to tell 'real' from 'fake' by the leather quality/feel.

Hope this helps!

BookWriter--I appreciate your helpful information so much! Can you tell me what you mean when you say "But since the zipper pull is 404, you can use that as a 'tell.'" Not sure what that means.
Very encouraging to know about Linda's stuff and that I can call her--thank you for taking the time to let me know!

Can anyone authenticate this Kooba Paige in Raisen?

I'm hoping someone with a Sienna will jump in here. They were heavily faked at one point. All I can recommend now is to go back through the photos here on line in this forum and try to match up what you can with ones here tagged as 'real.'

Wish I could help more but I'm not a Sienna gal...

Thanks BookWriter. I will check out the pics here.

Can any Sienna owners authenticate it please?

Hi BookWriter--concerning my entry #5215, what is the "manufactured in" label supposed to say and look like, exactly. I wrote to Linda's Stuff, and they say they don't have any other pictures but if I win it (and I think I will) and I'm not happy, I can return it. Not a real satisfactory answer. So...when I get it, what am I supposed to be on the alert for so I can return it within the 7-day period? Thanks so much for your help!
