I just read the post about the white one from 997 twin turbo. I too was interested in that one and had a link to it a few days ago. A couple ladies thought it was fake because the font on the inside lavender tag looked a bit thick. Is is possible it is the angle of the photo? Is that still the concesus or do you think it is authentic. If it is authentic, I would be interested in buying it for myself. Since it is for me and not a gift, I do not need it in pristine condition. Please take another look and advise. I emailed the seller and she says she has the receipt from Bloomingdales and it is an authentic bag. But I know sellers are not all honest. I thought the photos looked dark in general, making the bag appear not white white and the lavender tag appearing darker. She said the bag is bright white, like a cotton ball. Any thoughts on this auction? Thanks!

auctionaddict - I just took a look at the auction for the white Mahala. The lilac plate does NOT look right to me, the font is too thick. Plus, I do not see any embossed Made in Italy below the plate. I, personally would not bid on that one. :tdown:

Plus Foot Candy was selling real 100% authentic White ones at maybe 100.00 above the price of this one.
For peace of mind I sure would rather get a brand new one that is 100% authenitc.

I agree with both of you. I don't like the looks of the lilac nameplate along with the fact that this only has $200 Paypal buyer protection.

The other one I was interested the black Mahala from a couple posts ago, the seller says she is a purse forum member. She emailed me and said her ID is htbbc. Last week I had a couple ladies email that they thought the bag was authentic. The seller says the bag is stamped made in italy under the lavender name plate, it is just hard to see from the photo. Any insight on the seller or bag? I have no idea how to check that out here since I am new to the site. Thanks again!

When I look at that bag I look at outside zippers, snap logo, outer plate, inner lilac plate, inner zipper and lilac trim, plus lining type. That bag looks good to me...what does anyone else think?

Also, I looked up the member, which you can do from the members list tab. She joined 2 months ago and has posted only twice since then. You have to take the "I'm a member of tPF" with a grain of salt. So, I wouldn't give the membership much weight, in that case.

I'm will wait until a couple more ladies give me the go ahead before I buy. I do appreciate the input. My friend has this same bag and we looked at the auction and her bag in front of us and could not find any differences. But then again, it took me a few pics to get the hang of seeing the differences in the font. I am SO hoping this on is authentic!

I see she has a Prada bag as well. Go to the Prada forum and have them authenticate that bag as well. I agree with Jburgh about the tpf thing. Doesn't look like much like a member to me.:confused1:
