Hi Jmcadon,
The seller of this Mahala says she is a purse forum member and would come down on the price $100. Selling it for $1100, states she has used it three times. I thought that was bit high but what do I know? I was hoping to buy one in the $700 range. Any thoughts on this? Should I just buy it since it is in pristine condition or wait it out? UGH! I need advice, please!

You know, I don't think I'd pay that for a used bag, but then I'm not a huge fan of that bag. She has re-listed. I think the bag is authentic. Like Robynbenz said the sale will be on in a few weeks and there will be some good deals. That is about 45% off the $1895 price. Ask for her tPF name. It is a pretty good deal, if the bag is as unused as she says.

:girlsigh:Thanks for the advice on the black Mahala. I called the Saks in SF (part of Bloomingdales) there was a phone number given in another link for their 20% off sale. The man their said the sale would be 30% in a week or two but most would be gone before then. He said bags move very quickly at that location. I would love a purple Mahala but have doubts I could get one on sale and would be any less then the Black one on ebay?? Any one have any tips for that purchase? I will post this question in another link too. Just thought I would put it here because you both have been so nice with advice and wanted to make sure my question was seen by both of you. One more thing, a seller on ebay says this bag is authentic. What do you think of sellers like this? Selling high end items, not lots of one style but just other big ticket items? What is their deal? I can't figure that out. Where do they get this stuff? A big mystery to me. http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-JIMMY-CHOO-SHINY-LEATHER-AND-SUEDE-MAHALA-HANDBAG_W0QQitemZ250187996116QQihZ015QQcategoryZ63852QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I've seen those pics before. I think this seller has stolen another seller pics! I'd stay away from that!

Those are pics of an authentic cognac Mahala. Check the web site to see if this bag is available on JChoo.com. It will probably be 30% off soon. It is sold out in the Maddy on line.
Once the sale starts there will be a frenzy of selling so get ready...

Hey ladies!!! is this an authentic mahala handbag

Hi Ron,

I would really recommend taking advantage of the JC year end sale that will be coming up in the next couple weeks.
That way you know you're getting the real deal and the prices are awesome.
We'll let you know here - as soon as we know.
Robyn here is the best at getting the inside scoop!:sneaky::sneaky:

As for the white one you inquired about.
The photos look good, but also keep in mind photos can often be stolen (not saying that these are..) and also buying a used white bag can be kind of crusty to give as a gift. Its hard to keep white from showing signs of usage when buying a used bag.
also Foot Candy stores were having a sale on White JC Mahalas that were 100% authentic. I would rather purchase from them - than ebay.
The Foot Candy store in Brentwood had one last I checked and there may possibly be a location closer to you. Its worth checking out.
Best of luck to you!

Hi,
I just read the post about the white one from 997 twin turbo. I too was interested in that one and had a link to it a few days ago. A couple ladies thought it was fake because the font on the inside lavender tag looked a bit thick. Is is possible it is the angle of the photo? Is that still the concesus or do you think it is authentic. If it is authentic, I would be interested in buying it for myself. Since it is for me and not a gift, I do not need it in pristine condition. Please take another look and advise. I emailed the seller and she says she has the receipt from Bloomingdales and it is an authentic bag. But I know sellers are not all honest. I thought the photos looked dark in general, making the bag appear not white white and the lavender tag appearing darker. She said the bag is bright white, like a cotton ball. Any thoughts on this auction? Thanks!
