Lady Chinadoll,
Ok, I just retracted my bid. Wow, I kinda feel bad about doing that. But I guess I would feel worse if I got ripped off. Thank you for your help. Okay, now do you know where I can get a Mahala for my gf. What color should I get her, plum (i bought her the wallet), bone, black or white?

Anyone shed any light on it?

c/o Rich Baby Bentley!

Hello,

Here is a picture of your bag I found within a fashion magazine sometime ago! I'm sorry but, I don't remember what magazine/date/etc. Your bag is TDF! best wishes.:heart::heart:

p.s. Do Jimmy Choo limited edition bags come with these black colored plastic authenticity cards??? I have never seen one before. The magazine pic says it retailed for $3,450! :hysteric:

p.s.s. Does anyone have any info with regards to the Tribeca bag or pics of it within magazines/catalogs/advertisements/etc. Any info would be sooo appreciated!

Hi Ron,

You are a good BF!
Good bf's don't let GF carry fakes!

Feel free to post any Ebay auctions you may be looking at here and we will help you. There are some authentic one, but you have to pick thru them and do some research.
Remember if the Mahala sells for almost 2k - the ones selling for 299.00 are probably bad imitations. also check there seller feedback. If the have no prior seller feedback or have only sold one or two cheepo items - I don't think its worth risking the money, disappointment and hassle.

AAH!
Ron - retract your bid!
You are within the time limit to do it.
Good work Lady chinadoll! Look at the snap in the photos...the H is crossed in the middle. I think this seller is mixing photos with a bag they bought and a fake, or used someones elses. The seller is from CA and the receipt is from Denver I think. I guess this doesn't really mean anything,(I have receipts from other states) but with the close-up photos being off, Yikes! I just don't feel good about this bag!

Any thoughts or advice on this bag? I was lusting after the Mahala but after viewing the celebs with Choo's link I might interested in this one. I need to see the bag on someone to get an idea of how it will work for me. Viewing those pictures may have changed my mind. Any ideas how what is a reasonable price for a gently used Mahala or Ramona? Thanks so much for any information or advice, Stacy

Ron - that was a close one on the Mahala. Good thing some folks were out there to help. Do not feel bad about retracting your bid. 98% of the Choos on eBay are fake. And don't worry about buying the GF a Mahala. The big sales begin in December at the Choo boutiques. You may be able to get a beautiful bag then. They will be about 30% off.

EEK! It's fake! FAKE, FAKE, FAKE! The close ups confirm that! Don't bid!:cursing:

Hello Jmcadon,

Thank you soooo much for your help! I thought it was fake as well, once I received the additional pics. What nerve - to include a receipt and the bag is fake.

Also! I had a quick question...In the last picture, there appears to be a Jimmy Choo tag with a hole punched through it...as if it hung from the bag. I know usually the bags with tags hanging from them are fakes...

Do JC bags ever come with such a tag not attached to the bag as this one appears to have????

Thank you again for all of your help! best wishes.

It's tuff to tell about the Ramona. From the pics it looks pretty good, but I would want to see more pics. Ask for clear close ups of the interior lilac nameplate, the exterior metal clasp with Jimmy Choo name, the back of the exterior metal plate(to see the type of screws used, and a couple of pics of the interior of the bag.
I would expect to pay $600-900 for a used authentic Mahala or Ramona in very good condition. It's hard to say what one will go on e-bay for, depends on who is bidding and how much they are willing to pay.

Do not buy off e-bay unless you have it authenticated here at the very least and some of us have been fooled, as well.:wtf:

I don't think I've ever seen one with a hole in it. The tags come in the interior pocket normally.

Hi Jmcadon,
The seller of this Mahala says she is a purse forum member and would come down on the price $100. Selling it for $1100, states she has used it three times. I thought that was bit high but what do I know? I was hoping to buy one in the $700 range. Any thoughts on this? Should I just buy it since it is in pristine condition or wait it out? UGH! I need advice, please!

Auctionaddict The bag looks authentic, but If you are looking for a black Mahala, I would wait a couple of weeks until the sales start @ the boutique. You should be able to get it for 30-50% off and you will know for sure. If this person is a member, have her provide her pf'r name and then we might be able to give you a little better info.

As for the Ramona, it looks authentic as well, but I will say, the ebay sellers are getting smarter and using authentic photos, but you still never know what you are getting, until it is too late:sad:
Just my 2 cents.....
