Hello ladies,
I purchased this lovely, second hand JC tulita in leather and suede from a private person on ebay at the beginning of this year. It should be around 2,5 years old now and I am using it heavilly :yahoo:
I had specifically asked about receipts or so to proof that the bag is real, and at time I did not know anything about JC bags. She did not have the receipt anymore but claimed that she bought it at Harrods 2 years ago and always buys the real stuff, no fakes.
I did have a good gut feeling about her, she always replied to my questions and sounded honest, but maybe I'm just stupid

I had some questions about it though and I'm trying to find out whether it is a copy or not.
Been reading through all the postings and especially the JC tulita posting from Sentavita. My purse looks awfully similar to hers. The only thing bugging me is the lilac plate, it might look a bit wrong, but I'm in doubt.
Does anyone have an opinion about it?

Also, what is moleskin supposed to look like? Is it a kind of suede (sorry, I'm Belgian in Denmark and am not really sure what moleskin really is ).

Thanks for any light you can shine on this
Btw: :tpfrox:

Welcome An VC:flowers:
I am not as familiar with the older Choos, so I will have a hard time giving you an accurate  or  The lilac plate font is a little questionable as is the "Made in Italy" placement, but I know that JC bags have evolved over the years. As for moleskin, I am copying a quote from a post #330 by Samantha's Collection "It is a durable woven cotton. If you go to wikepedia.org there is a detailed description of moleskin."
I am sorry I can not help any better, but maybe some of the other JC lovers will response. Good luck and should you be able to post a couple more photos of the lilac tag & hardware (really close up) we might be able to give you a better answer.

Sorry An VC my gut instinct would say fake. I do own a JC that is from the 2005 season and the font on the tag hasn't changed since then.

You obviously love the bag and love using it, so I say carrying on loving it and using it and don't worry if it's fake, what's done can't be undone but with the help of this forum your next JC will definately be authentic.

Thank you robynbenz.
these are the best pictures I could take.
I do see a difference between the pics you posted from your bag(s), it looks a little bit cleaner, also the engravings (I think), but maybe I've just gotten too suspicious.
From the other hand, the key lock also mentions "Fiocchi Italy" on the inside, someone else mentioned this before ...

That person also had a leather Gucci bag for sale, with receipts, for appr. the same price, that's why I also trusted her.
I dug up the mail again, where she promised me that it was real, otherwise 200% money back. Maybe I could still use this for a complaint if someone can tell for sure it's a fake??

ITA w/ Riffraff, the font does look very questionable. I had a Rianne from 2005 and the font is still the same as all my current JC bags.
I also agree w/ Riffraff that if you have been using her and enjoying her, continue to do so and just come her before you decide to purchase another bag:yes:

Good Luck:heart:

Yes, you are definitely right, I will keep on using and enjoying it just as I did before.
Luckily I did not pay that much more than I would for a regular nice leather bag, and that's still what it is.

Next time, I'll purchase through an official dealer though.

Thanks a lot for your replies!

One more question ...
After looking closer at the whole bag, i noticed that the colour of the light golden hardware is disappearing where hte handle moves around a lot . this isn't normal either, is it??

I just checked the font on an older choo bag and I swear the font on my brand new bag from jchoo london looks thicker! Is anyone else seeing this? The older bag is from the Venitian in Las Vegas, so I know both are authentic.

The only reason I asked was there was an auction on ebay (seller claimed to be a pfer and would never ever sell a fake) I asked for a picture of the key tag stud and she claimed all older models were blank.

My oldest Choo is 05 and just wondered if they have ever been blank.
