Cartier will check the serial number against their records this should confirm the item's authenticity. In addition I would imagine that if it were fake it wouldn't be made out of gold. The engraving process would uncover any fakeness in this regard.

I just purchased this Cartier love bracelet today at auction. It is a 1970 so no serial number, and signed by Aldo Cipullo. Can anyone authenticate it, and was 3900 a good price for an original 1970 in good condition? It looks like it may have been restored at some point, finish looks great.

This one is trickier! It looks like an older version. I can't say either way. The weight is about right for 18k gold.It's great to have someone reply to this thread once in a while. Thank you!
